Just purchased this beauty waiting to go pick it up. Ducati Monster Evo 1100 Diesel Diesel Brave Green matte finsih.

Diesel doesnt not mean it runs on diesel, it is the co designer of the bike, founder Renzo Rosso

:applause::righton::applause:

I got a new set of Michelin Pilot Road 3's put on this weekend and got to sit on a few bikes and talk motorcycle with a few of the salesmen while I waited.

This bike stopped me in my tracks! The same Diesel model.

Keep us updated with plenty of pics!

Ya it gave me whiplash when i walked by it, took the salesman i had to have it and he said i have to get in line that this was just the only one they had for the showroom. So I ordered one and also ordered a few custom parts like VH urban brawlers exhaust for it, dont care for a big exhaust. Its gonna look great

This thread needs more pics of this beast!

p.s. I'm moving this to "Motorcycle Care"

Very nice be safe please! Lost my best friend a couple years back on his motorcycle.

How should I protect the matte finish? I mean besides removing scratches or stuff like that I didn't figure anything would really change the appearance

Beautiful ride. Congrats on the soon-to-be ownership! :props:

If that was my bike, I would seriously consider having it professionally wrapped to preserve that gorgeous factory color.

Other than that, leave it visually stock and spend the rest on susp, sticky rubbers, & track schools/days.

I work at a Harley dealership....and we have bikes called denim..( aka matte )...Harley has a cleaner just for the denim....they also told us to use Windex to clean the paint. But you cant put any LSP on it or it will ruin the finish.....

Chemical Guys has their matte detailer that provides UV protection. And some companies offer waxes for matte finishes, Swissvax being one, and Autoglym recommends their Super Resin Polish for Triumph's matte finish. But always read the owner's manual for what the manufacturer recommends for their finishes and talk to other owners that may have already tested products that did or didn't work.

Congratz on the new bike! :xyxthumbs: Have lots of fun.
Chemical Guys does have a few products for the matte finishes.

I went to a dealer to just kill some time and hoping to get to see a bike that has had my attention for some years now.

This bike just does it for me. I would like to buy it and keep it in my garage just so I could go look at it from time to time. :dblthumb2: I am so used to my upright cruiser ride position that I don't know that I would like the forward leaning of these sportier bikes.

Actually a lot of naked bikes have a standard riding position. I know that the monster EVO I just bought is about 100x more comfortable just to sit on than my r6.

Man I want a Ducati that thing is sick!
