Hows it going AG? I know a few weeks ago I replied to a thread about vacuums and raved about my small shop vac from lowes. Well, this past week Ive started reassembling my trailer as a second rig to handle simple washes and waxes. I already had the generator and PW for the trailer waiting in the garage, and really the only thing I was missing was a vacuum.

Well, I started looking for one earlier this week and the ridgid wall mount came highly recommended by several of my friends. however, not until yesterday evening did i realize that this unit was discontinued. NEW SEARCH....

This morning my NEW SEARCH landed me at lowes which carried a very similar wall mount made by Kolbalt. Let me tell YA, This unit is awesome. It appears to be very well made and came with several cleaning attachments. My plan was to mount this unit in my van and just slide the older vac over to the trailer. Well, it actually worked out GREAT. I mounted it to the partition wall nearest the passenger sliding door and fits great. The unit also comes with 21ft of non-crushing, expandable hose, so I for-see no problems with getting suction to the vehicles and getting the job done. Its rated at 5Hp/Peak, but let me tell ya, my older vac is rated at 5.5HP/Peak and the Kolbalt simply dominates...

The Kolbalt runs for $99 and comes with a 3 year warranty and for $10 bucks more Lowes offers an additional year. So... for less that $120 I definiately consider this unit a steal. So.... For anyone looking for a vac either for mobile purposes or just to have in the garage, I'm telling you THIS IS IT!!!

Thanks for reading, Im hoping this will help someone out....Im the MAN

Thanks for the information.

I've been thinking of a wall mounted unit for my garage for some time and your thoughts on the Cobalt model will get me to Lowes to check it out.

wow i just looked it up..i am so stopping on my way home from work and buying this

Just for SIG's I just hooked up the hose to the blower outlet and pointed it towered my fan and no lie, I'd say it's turning the blade about the same speed as the LOW setting. Now keep in mind this a 40" box fan and the end of the hose is about 3' away.
I really, really like this unit....

i am heading out shortly to get it..this thing might replace my blower I normally use to blow off the car if its stronger like it sounds like. my blower is 4HP

I just got mine..I have to say its build quality seems very good..it feels like a really solid machine. I didnt realize it was wireless controls..thats sweet. I havnt really tried it out much just a quick turn on..it seems to have good suction power..more then enough to clean a car..and it doesnt blow as hard as my blower but its a much larger diameter tube so it actually might work for large areas. I also like the attachments. Good find.

Nice, thanks for sharing that cause I need a vac for my mobile unit still. :dblthumb2:

Nice looking unit.:props:

Awesome... Im glad you were able to pick up one 05xrunner. I just finished a quick wash and vac and was very satisfied with the performance...

Hey Kristopher, check it out man, I was able to mount it to the partition wall nearest the sliding door and it fits great. If I'm not mistaken, you have an Astro also, it fits really nice and frees up some floor space too.

Yeah this looks cool man. I'll definitely check it out. Do you pull it off the wall, or can you actually reach the vehicle without doing that?

Well I just picked it up this morning and have only done two vehicles do far. However, both times I was able to just leave it in the van. It comes with 21' of hose and if I'm not mistaken the power cord us 25'. You got plenty...

I guess if the rear of the vehicle was backed up to the sliding door of my van, I could vac easily without pulling the hose through the car or anything. I'll prolly pick one up just to have it, ha. :dblthumb2:

Ha, cool... I honestly think you'll be satisfied Kris.
