Killr--Finally got around to the Menzerna. Had some minor swirling on the hood of my black SC430, so I tried a few combinations of pads and products (settled on Meg's 80 with a Blue Edge pad) to get it ready for the Menzerna, and there a few spots that could be a bit better (should have used the Double Xenon more), and I only just worked the hood, but that Menzerna Final Polish II (white Edge pad) took it to a new level. Followed on with WG Deep Gloss Sealant, covered the hood with a bedsheet and left it in the garage until tonight, then finished with Souveran tonight. Puro!Gorgeous.
Now I can go on to the rest of the car. I feel like I finally have my right pad-product-technique combination--seems like maybe it is a bit different for eveybody, maybe due to variance in technique--then of course, you have to change up for the paint!
Lets say you had heavier swirling (not wicked heavy where you would want to use the rotary) and you were going to use, say XMT3(I use Megs 83) and a Lake Country Orange Cutting pad--do you think you could go right to the Menzerna, or would you use XMT1 (I use Meg's 80) in between?
Have you ever used Menzerna's Final Polish II with the Rotary?
