Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze?

I've used Klasse for the past 2 years and I have to say I am very impressed with the look and durability. Maine winters are pretty rough and a single coat lasted from September to March, with only a handful of washes. I admit I was in a depression not being able to clean my car.

I've been using the method @Klasse recommended and its made a world of difference in the applications. However, I did let it "cure" for 20 minutes before removing. Put KGS in a small finger pump spray both, and one or two sprays should be enough to cover most panels.

This past time around I topped KSG with Collinite 845 and my car looked great, but I applied 845 immediately after applying KSG due to a lack of time and I think it hurt the durability. I also used Mineral Spirits on the lower half of my car and I probably didn't clean it well enough afterwards because the lower half looks like its no longer protected.

To help maintain inbetween coats of KSG I like to make up a gallon of quick detailer using rinseless wash, adding 2 oz's of KSG into a made up gallon. This not only makes clean ups easier but you also end up adding another layer of KSG, albeit a thin layer for sure.

I'm curious; @Klasse could you mix KSG with a spray wax like Meg Synthetic Spray Wax, or would you stick with a QD as the base? Not sure if there would be any benefit by doing this, but curious if anyone has tried it and what the results were.

Either way I will be making up a bottle soon!

I'm not sure about that but I'm sticking with my FrankenDetailer mixes, I have 5 different ones using 5 different RW and WW brands.

You MUST always wait 12 hrs before putting anything on top of KSG, even another coat of KSG especially. Because it's acrylic it MUST cure and 12 hrs is key. Using mineral spirits will destroy anything. Maybe just wait it out till spring and prep the surface with clay or clay towel, apply 2 costs of KSG with the 12 hr cure time and maintain with FrankenDetailer.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

To make my hybrid version of a "Detail Spray Wax":

I use a 1:4 ratio of K-HGSG:UQW
(2oz of K-HGSG:8 oz. UQW)

Legend:
K-HGSG=Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze
UQW=Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax

Thank you @Klasse and Bob. I was planning on trying it using Megs D156 as my base. I think I will give both a try and see which I prefer. I don't think I could possibly use 33oz of Klasse in my life-time just using it as a sealant.

I remembered seeing both formulas on here and I couldn't find it using a search for some reason. I'll definitely be keeping this page bookmarked!

The mix can be stored for a long time? Or it has to be used before x amount of time after mixed?

Also, it is safe to use sealant directly from the bottle on the headlights?

You can use sealant glaze on glass and plastic just be sure to buff until completely residue free

I haven't used KAIO or HGSG on my Camaro ... yet ... but I do intend to at least use it on the rims. if not as a base for some Collinite.

I used the twins on my previous car and I noticed that it was VERY anti-dust, anti-static after 2 coats of HGSG.

Collinite waxes are so durable, you really don't need a "base". I'd save some time and simply choose to do one or the other. You can't go wrong either way.

I think I will definitely do the rims with HGSG due to the heat generated by the brakes ... however I can't guarantee that I won' use Collinite over the HGSG on the rims. :)

Can KSG be applied immediately after AIO? I know KSG needs 12h between applications but haven't read anything about letting the AIO cure.

No appreciable time is needed between Klasse AIO and then using Klasse SG.
