How long will a Lake Country pad last? Can I use one pad for the entire car (with the same polish of course)?

By last do you mean worn out? I've had some pads for 2 or 3 years but it depends a lot on how much they're used.

In general, you'll normally go through 4 or so pads when polishing an entire vehicle..That said, there are a host of variables that come int play here..

  1. Size of the car
  2. Condition of the finish
  3. 2 stage vs single stare paint
  4. Using a pad cleaner or not
About 4 weeks ago I was testing a new product along with a pad washer. I used 1 white foam pad along with a 1-step cleaner sealant. I washed it 5 or 6 times, spun out the excess water, than back to work...

Can you? Yes
Should you? not if you can help it

I also have to agree with Bobby when I use the LC Hydro Tech pads I change pads after two panels also cleaning pads on the fly will help the pad last longer .

they last a while. get the flat pads, i prefer those as do many others.

I am still using pads bought four or more years ago. I only throw them out when they tear or chunk. But I buy more pads whenever they go on BOGO. Can't have too many pads, can you?

While working on a car I will replace the pad about six times. One for the hood, two for each side, and another for the trunk. I use all of them for the roof. Since I can only reach a small section of the roof from any one position.
Then I use the same number of pads for the next product, except for applying the wax, That only takes one pad.
Then after I'm finished with the car I wash all the pads at once using my pad washer from Autogeek.
I feel that by using a lot of pads you are far less likely to overheat a pad and cause the glue holding the velcro on it to fail.

Oh so I can't use one pad for the entire car? Cause I only have 2 Orange pads.

you can... you will just have to wash it and dry it (spin dry on rotary if you're rushing). After a few panels the pads usually get over saturated with product and will not yield good results.
