I would use the 6.5 flat pads, unless you have a option to use a 5 inch BP with the 5.5 inch pads.

For one step products I usually go with the soft green and white if I need to bump it up.

I use the 6.5 pads. They work very well.:xyxthumbs:

I have 6.5" CCS and 4" flat pads with a PCXP. I would imagine that the Griots and PCXP should perform similarly.

The 5.5" should correct quicker and handle small and tight curves better than the 6.5". I plan to add a 5" backing plate at some point and move towards the 5.5" pads. I think that I like the flat pads better but I have compressor pads coming. I will share my thoughts after I get a chance to try the compressor pads. I'm a hobbiest not a professional, so this is my 2 cents worth.

I find the Griots works really well with the 6.5" pads although I personally like to work with the 5.5" CCS pads. Its all about what you like.

Ya know, this is probably the best answer so far regarding the Griot's. :dblthumb2:

OK I will use th 6.5 inch pads and a backing plate came with it so since the pads come with velcro on the backside to stick them onto the polsher with.
