In my other post about applying Lava I mentioned applying it by hand, but after reading Flannigan's comment about using a PC, I have now tried that.

This is the way to go. Lava is easily dipped from the jar (I just used my fingers) and thinly spread on a flat 5.5" red LC pad. I used speed 3 and it easily went on. The PC is faster, no grabby feel, and helps keep it thin as well. I waited 20 minutes (passed swipe test) and it came off pretty easily.

Anyway, for those getting ready to use Lava, you might want to consider the PC. I often use the PC for liquids and will do so with Lava. Thanks Flannigan.

Also, the slickness seems to fade as the product cures. So, after 12 hrs., instead of using CG's HV7 (whick works well), I did a wipe down with BF Poly Spray and it amped up the slickness nicely.

Looking forward to others comments once they use Lava.

TTIWWP?...Just looks like any shiny car. I see nothing pyschedelic....thread is about the application.

Glad my tip helped you a bit!! I will be doing a review on lava shortly, so just hold tight for some pics guys! Thanks!

Flannigan- will look forward to your review.

I've never gotten much from pics of different LSPs ...after proper prep, it's always good. I think we've all seen pics of excellently polished cars with no LSP that look great. The tip from you of using a PC is all I was passing along. Guess a couple did not see any value in that...so be it.

i was wondering about the the direction in the application of the lava, i noticed the guy was going side to side not back and forth as in wind direction . ie .the direction the wind travels over the car. does that make any since?
