is there a benefit to applying 2, 3, 4 or more coats? does it make your car look like a candy coated apple? will it protect more, maybe even better? anybody here ever do this, and what results did you have? thank you

At one time I had 9 coats of UPGP and it did look like hard candy. Got tired of the reflective shine and went to a nuba for that warm wet glow.

I remember when some avid sealant users discussed 20 coats of this or that ... to me likely more than 2 coats is just wasted product. There has got to be a point of diminishing returns.

I normally do 2 coats just to ensure full coverage especially on light colors. I did my car 3 weeks ago and thought I did a very thorough job, that is until I stepped back to enjoy my work lol. Looked like UPP streaked real bad but it was just all the area's I missed (by hand). Did a second coat via machine and it was easier to ensure full coverage.

I use 2 coats of sealant and then during my weekly/bi-weekly washes on my truck I then follow that with QD spray and then follow that with Pinnacle spray wax to help maintain protection.

2 coats, got it. i was gonna do this, like the wax theory, even coverage, but i wasn't sure if i could or not.
thanks for the info. i'll try it next time.
