What detail job to do dred doing? I love to do the exterior of my car, from washing to waxing, and I don't even mind doing the windows. But I really hate doing the interior. Just seems to take so long and it's tedious. I'm a really neat and organized person, so my interior doesn't get all trashed up. I probably do my interior once every 2 months, aside from a dusting or wiping the glass.
What's your hated job?

:iagree: I hate the interior. In Fact I do let the people know I do the EXTERIOR ONLY. I let them know I will not clean the interior. 2 things are saved. 1 My time and 2 I do not have to worry about something valuable being lost or accidently removed.

I actually like interiors and windows(two hated areas)

My least favorite part of a detail is the tires/wheels. There's always some elbow grease, lots of tools, stinky chemicals, or some combination thereof to get them completely clean on neglected ones.

My least favorite is glass...interior glass and especially the inside of the rear window.

although I'm not too big on interior cleaning I'd have to say Clay baring is my least favorite part.... I know it's a very important step in detailing but it takes soo long to do.... I'm ordering a nanoskin sponge to hopefully help cut some time off

Doorjambs. I hate having to wipedown doorjambs after a wash.. If at all possible I try to skip this step as it's pretty much certain to thrash my drying towel to the point of being unusable in just a few seconds. I hate that.

2nd least fav. thing on the list is getting into the drivers seat once I'm all done to move the vehicle and tracking any dirt/grass back into the matt/seeing the customer do it to their perfectly finished car.

Wheels. I do Rinseless/waterless. Lots of elbow grease and I have to sacrifice towels every time. Door jambs aren't half as bad as wheels.

Once you use a Nanoskin....you will never go back to clay. You will reduce your claying time at least 1/3 to 1/2. Just make sure you use plenty of lube!!

I really don't like doing windows! Interiors are ok. Paint is fun but cleaning and coating wheels is my favorite. Wheels can make or break a detail so I really focus a lot of attention on making wheels perfect.

Trying to clean glass in the middle of the summer with humididty, just keeps fogging and fogging. Doesn't bother me to much anymore I have A/C :xyxthumbs:

This is pretty much verbatim my opinion on interior vs. exterior!

So I'm gonna take it a step further and say that as far as the type of VEHICLE I like detailing the least..............RVs!!! Good $ but having to get up and down a ladder a million times really chafes my a$$.
Cars etc...? So far I've still got a lot to learn as far as polishing goes so I struggle with that at times. I don't mind doing the interiors. I'm sitting down relaxed listening to my music so its not so bad for me.

I detail cars and RVs. I really dislike neglected gelcoats, especially gelcoats where previous owners applied Poli-Glo at one time and has started peeling.

that's exactly what I'm looking for!!! Im the MAN

1.) Tarmination - My process is tedious at getting off all the gunk.
2.) Door Jambs - Seems to take forever!
3.) Wheels - for the reasons stated an above post.

But despite these dislikes, I love the way things look when I'm done! :-)

Trashed interiors don't really need an explanation for this.

Polishing bumpers. They are always the last thing I correct so I'm already tired and with all the nooks and crannies they are never quite as good as I'd like.

TOGW, especially on clearbra edges. Just a waste of my time fixing someone else's mistakes, but needs to be done if I'm putting my name on it.

We have a lot of lifted trucks where I live. It's kind of a pain getting in there and making everything shiny again. Haven't done but a couple but so far it's been a pain for me. As others have said, it looks good when I'm done but the process reminds me of engine detailing. Which is my second least favorite.

Windows, its too hot and humid in the summer and so cold in the winter that my breathing keeps them fogging while trying to clean them. I always save windows for last, and front and back are last on the glass list too.
