If we are talking about the coated leather found in most cars, then my go-to has been a kiwi shoe brush and i use it only with very light pressure..... just to work the product (I use Cyclo CM30 APC @ 20:1) in and agitate some of ingrained dirt loose.
Haven't had an issue to date
