Beautiful car!
Awesome
Thanks so much guys. Yeah I am still on cloud 9 with this car. I can't drive it anymore (winter), but I still smile whenever I see her in the garage.
Cane, that's a nice 2010 you have there. Is that ingot silver?
sportscarhiatus; what you told the dealer is exactly what I've told to two dealers and what I told a friend of mine to tell his dealer. Sadly, my friend didn't listen to my advice and his 2011 BMW M3 was beyond trashed because of it. Took me over 36 hours to correct the damage the dealership did to that M3. If anyone buys a new car and it has to be ordered. Do exactly was sportscarhiatus did. Be adamant that they don't touch it. No wash, no "detail", no wipe down, NOTHING. Tell them you want the tape left on the car. Sweet car btw! I really like that color blue.
Yes!!! Exactly... NOTHING... no touching, period. I drilled that into them soooo many times it was funny. But hey, a detailing man's gotta do what a detailing man's gotta do, right??? :dblthumb2: And thanks for the props. I LOVE Kona Blue... in the right light/shade, it almost looks purple/blue/gray/black all at once...
You are correct in the interpretation of my comment. Now be warned that a lot of the chemicals used at some touch-less washes are still powerful to strip off even some of the best waxes and sealants, if you live in a winter prone area that uses salt, sand and calcium sprays I still feel this is your best option during the winter especially to rinse off the undercarriage.
Another thing to check if you have multiple options is asking the operator about the filters they use if they recycle water. A tip passed on to me is to look for a wash using a 2-stage filter.
Now that I have a layer of Opti-Coat I have no fears of the touch-less wash which I will use before doing an ONR wash to get things really clean. IMO winter salt/sand/chemicals are just too much to ask from ONR alone and need some help knocking off the big stuff first.
Thanks for the tips Bill... remember I live in Iowa too, 2 hours from you in CR! I was gonna visit you sometime to meet you... maybe next Spring? But yeah, I don't know if there are many 2 stage filters here in CR... lol... we suck here man. No good stores/restaurants.... am guessing pretty bad car washes too... lol
Thats is a good looking mustang!! I'm jealous!!
Sequential tail lights kick ass!
Nice, I love it!
I see you got the Brembo pack.rops:
Wow... thanks so much for the compliments guys... I really appreciate it. And yes the sequential tail lights rock! Some office mate asked me once, "Are those aftermarket???". I proudly said, no, they're stock! But I got the Brembo pkg for sure... the 19s, the brembos, and the stiffer suspension, and adjustable steering were a must for me

What IS aftermarket is my exhaust, although technically, it's NOT aftermarket... it's a Ford Racing Performance Part, so, it's technically OEM. But it's a Shelby GT500 axle back... I love the more aggressive growl.
