Alright so I decided to detail my car on my day off. It had been about 1-2 weeks since the last wash.
Here are some befores:

These are some after shots, I used Chemical Guy clay bar kit. Then put a coat of Jerseal 109. Finally coated it with a coat of Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Wax.

This picture I thought was cool! Really showed the color well.

Looking good! Im assuming you didnt do any polishing to the car before? If thats the case, the shinyness will go away as soon as the sealant and wax wear off unfortunately.

Yea I unfortunately don't have a buffer yet, looking to get the Griots or the Meguiars. The cars pretty much new, but I do need to get a polisher!

Looks nice! Good job!
2nd on getting a buffer!!!!

Im definitely getting one of them, gotta wait for july for my birthday. Im going to have a nice list of products for my birthday!

Nice work and the car looks good. It's a bit of a stretch to call it a detail, wash n wax would be more like it.

How is it a bit of a stretch? The only thing I didn't do was buff, my car doesn't have swirl marks or any scratches so I don't see a reason to buff. I also I don't have a buffer to do a complete detail anyway. I mean I washed with chemical guys citrus + gloss to get all alp off the car an then clayed the car then sealed the paint an then waxed. I also cleaned an shined the engine bay up. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say it was just a wash an wax.

Car looks great. Ya got to realize that this forum has a lot of obsessed geeks. If you dont use $750+ of products and equipment and 6+ hours of time its just a wash and wax. I find it amusing....just enjoy

I guess you could say im obsessed too, just not that obsessed if you get what i mean. I am definitely going to check out the OSW you mention on the other thread, I've been reading up on it an it sounds good!

Very nice how did you like working with pinnacle

I loved it! It applied very easily and was also very easy to remove. An it left an amazing shine, glad I got it on BOGO!

Looks good to me. You covered all the bases outside of compound and polish. Nice job!

Be careful claying when not using at least a polish though. Especially on Nissans. Next time the paint may not be so lenient. I never clay without polishing afterwards.

Thanks Kris, this color looks amazing when waxed! The metallic in the paint just pops. The Pinnacle Souveran definitely helped with that. I will definitely be getting a buffer but I will not be practicing on my vehicle
Thanks for the advice, I will definately wait to clay my car until I get a buffer.

Haha. I am in the same exact boat as you dude. My birthday is at the end of this month, so hopefully soon! My family thinks I'm weird because I want detailing stuff lol. BTW, good job on the car, looked pretty good for not being washed in two weeks! Most people would've waited two months if it still looked like that lol.

Thanks man, yea my mom thinks I'm nuts. I can't stand my car being dirty an not being washed in 2 weeks. It's also my first new car so I'm overly protective of it lol.
