2 Subarus in a row....and this one is red (which I just love polishing).... so I was really in my element  :hurray: And the fact that the owner had taken the time to come and spend a few days with me to make sure he knew how to properly maintain it afterward, made the detail all that more meaningful for me. Any detailer will tell you there is nothing more satisfying than turning a car around for someone who truly appreciates it!!!

Cleaning the engine bay was not in the scope of this detail, and so I started with the fender wells, tires and wheels - remember to always ensure the wheels are cool and that you use the appropriate cleaning products for your type of wheel (and braking components).

Fender wells : Carchem Citrus APC @ 1:5 though a foaming spray nozzle | Autofinesse Dressel
Tyres : Mothers tyre brush | Carchem Tyre and Trim Gel
Wheels : Valet Pro Billberry @ 1:5 | Valet Pro Citrus Tar and Glue Remover | Carchem Revolt | Wheel Woolies | Daytona (large & small) | Autofinesse Hogs Hair Brushes | MF wash mitt | Gyeon Wetcoat

2BM wash :Carchem Luxury Shampoo

The car was then decontaminated and much to the owner's surprise was full of iron contaminants and still felt very rough via the baggie test thereafter.

Iron removal: Carchem Revolt
Tar Removal :Valet Pro Citrus Tar and Glue Remover
Clay :Shield Heavy Duty Clay | ONR

This is what the bare paint looked like

And here are some pictures of the correction process which was a 1 step using Flex 3401 | Menzerna SF4000 | White Lake Country Hybrid Pads | Gyeon Prep

As always, thanks for looking and any comments or questions are welcome.

Great job Lawrence! Red looks dripping wet!

Red is my favorite color esp after polishing.

Great job as usual. Nice to see you using 915 as well, very good looking lsp and lasts quite a while.

Beautiful work. Thank you for another great post.

I like that you share products used. Please throw in a few interior shots on the next one.

Nice work as usual Lawrence!

That paint must have been super soft to get that kind of correction with what you used.

Must be some real difficult paint! The clay marring was very apparent but the results you got just on a one step with sf4000 were incredible. Great write up!

That's a beauty! Subaru paint can be tricky but you made it look easy. Well done.

Came out great. I love doin red. For the most part it usually makes for a drastic improvement and the customer is blown away

Impressive work! You did a great job capturing the defects and the post correction results. Well done.

GREAT WORK!

Holy orange peel on that close up of the WRX badge, WOW!

Yep...did my black 2016 WRX with WG Twins + WG Uber Ceramic + Dodo Purple Haze. Got me the shiniest orange peel around!

Nice work as usual Lawrence!

Subaru 'environmentally friendly' paint is so fragile that before coating and protecting I'd swear it would scratch/swirl if ya just looked at it wrong.

:xyxthumbs: Remarkable turn around Lawrence my friend.

Oooh, I cringe so bad when I see other peoples wax. Wowzers! Thats some serious orange peel there too & on that other panel. Refinished? You certainly saved this WRX mate, props for both you & the owner putting in the effort to keep it looking as good as can be. :props:

Yet again - fantastic post in every way Lawrence, thank you for sharing.

Aaryn NZ. :dblthumb2:

Thank you all very much for your kind words, which are truly appreciated. :dblthumb2:

Looks great! Red is instantly rewarding, isn't it?! Are you spraying your foam through a pressure washer?

Great job! You made that lightning red narrow body look better than brand new!

Primo work! I'm not sure if you noticed or if it's just the photos, but, there's some orange peel that may need to be addressed in the future
