You are sure talented, sir. I cannot believe the fantastic correction and finish you got using a polish and polishing pad!!!! Was the paint sticky at all?
Yessir, IME, running a slower speed definiely helps with sticky paint as well as using more pads than usual. You nailed it! About how many pads did you use?Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes the paint was definitely sticky although I found that running the Flex 3401 between speed 3.5 and 4 helped - initially I was playing around with speed 4 to 4.5 but I think the additional heat exacerbated the sticky issues with paint. By running everything a little slower and cooler it definitely helped.
I also went through a bucket load of pads, making sure I cleaned on the fly between sections and switched out to a fresh pad after every 3 sections. This also helped prevent each pad getting too hot, and working with 'clean' pads on soft paint has always been beneficial for me, as there is a tendency for more 'debris' to be loaded into the pad and in turn re-scour the finish.
Nice work as usual Lawrence!
That paint must have been super soft to get that kind of correction with what you used.
