Thank you sir.... almost done with her.... had to take a lunch break before machine sanding the roof and then buffing it out.

The owner came by last night with his family and this was good timing. At the time all I had completed from beginning to end was the hood. So everyone was able to see the after results on the hood and then as a reminder to what the paint looked before any work they were able to walk around to the back and look at the trunk lid....

Back to work, need to get a few more pictures and then finish her off....

I'll take some after pictures using the new Menzerna product to show what kind of results it can produce but I am going to machine apply Pinnacle Souveran as the finishing touch...

:)

She's all done.... finished out yesterday with the new Menzerna product by machine and the topped her with Pinnacle XMT 180 High Gloss Carnauba Wax this morning.

Here's some before and afters close-ups showing some of the damage that's been removed....

Car looks amazing.

Was Nick using the same secret new Menzerna on your truck?
And when it will be available?

Yes. I think Nick said sometime in September....

Should be here in time for all the folks attending my next Detailing Boot Camp Class to have a chance to test it out....

I used this product for the last machine polishing step and I polished the heck out of this paint and it just buffs so nice and creates such a clear finish.

Guys are always asking how to make the metallic flake POP and I'm telling up front... the flake on this 1932 Ford POPS!

If you are only trying to remove an old wax, starting with the least aggressive method such as CarPro Eraser would be safer than using Prep All.

No, I don't think so..... Prep All is pretty safe, this is also a product created by Dr. David Ghoudussi of Optimum Polymer Technologies when he worked for Kleen-Strip.

I would only use Prep All as a last resort as long as a good polishing session follows suit. Remember, there are no lubrication agents in Prep All.

It wipes smooth and clean. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the odor.

Thanks for straightening out my post Mike and providing clarification as I have not used Prep All and was only stating to start with the least aggressive process.

With the light you bring to the table of Prep All being created by Dr. G, no doubt is this product safe to use.

No harm no foul.

BTW, the finish of this classic street rod looks incredible! Outstanding work good sir!

I can't wait to see these new products from Menzerna and the new polisher from Flex.

looks to small to be a rotary, looks more like a mini version to compete with the Rupes Mini

Thanks you... every inch machine buffed using Flex except when I was machine wet sanding I used the PC and the Griot's 3" Peanut Polisher.

I have ALL the pictures showing the complete process from start to finish but have another hot project I need to work on...

I can't wait to see these new products from Menzerna and the new polisher from Flex.

I have some more new products coming to my desk from Menzerna plus the new Sonax compound.

The new Flex tool performed flawlessly. I think Bob told me the one I have is hand-built as it is a prototype.

My PE14 in the background, the tool with the two stripes of 3M Blue Vinyl tape is the #2 production unit PE14. I used it to remove the sanding marks out of the major panels. I keep the blue tape on it to make it more visually noticeable just to help me keep an eye on it so it don't walk off. It's a real honor to have been presented the #2 Flex PE14 but I don't hide it away I use it and let other people use it too.

Bob was here yesterday and he and his field rep Chris will be at my next Detailing Boot Camp Class and Flex is picking up the tab for the Meet & Greet Saturday night after the first day of the class.

Pretty cool!

You would be correct Mike!

Bob and Chris are both great guys and true professionals. Flex is always stepping up to the plate and doing things that others won't

...and the Griot's 3" Peanut Polisher.

Oh no, I didn't know I was supposed to be polishing my peanuts! Do you polish before or after stripping the (shell) surface? Is there a Pinnacle Peanut Polish? :D

Wow, another little-known fact about the amazing Dr. G!

Wow those afters look incredible! What a cool looking street rod with beautifully polished paint.

Picture #1 in post #37 is money Mike! Well done.

Great job Mike, I've been doing a good amount of wet sanding repainted cars lately, which I don't mind. I measure the paint and then proceed, but what is really frustrating is trying to remove sanding marks that were done by another detailer. Especially if you don't get to talk to them and you are kinda left there guessing on what grit they used, how many passes, how much pressure they used, etc...

^ I sanded the rest of the car, but that whole driver side quarter panel was sanded by another detailer and left the work undone. I didn't get to talk to him on what grit he used. Also, as you can see I taped off the edges on the paint, well the other detailer sanded those too... (not sure why)

I think he might have used 800 grit and left it like that.

So I had to resand the area and then buff it out and polish it, came out great (thankfully)
