Long Throw Polisher Proper Technique????

Man that ta looks great after what it started out as. What did you use for products?

Mike--your input is appreciated and I look forward to your new article on using long throw polishers.

I ordered the G15 for the reasons you mention--I was looking to shorten correction time somewhat, but felt the G21 was overkill for a weekend detailer. My reasoning was that with the G15 and my GG8 equipped with 4” pads I could cut polishing time and improve comfort---and do most things with these two machines.

The 1978 Trans Am and the 2006 Ferrari were both detailed using the RUPES system. I used the UHS System on the Ferrari and Green/White on the Trans Am.


I used these same techniques removing the swirls around the vinyl graphics on the hood of Bruno Massel's COPO Camaro.

I am patiently waiting, I look forward to this article. I love my Flex Book, I would definitely purchase your Rupes book if one was published.

YouTube is terrible for that. It's becoming the gutter of humanity. If I ever do any videos I see myself "disabling comments".

If would be so much appreciated if you use a vertical AND curvy panel - like a convex door - with the Rupes and let us know how you did. This is the video from my 1st time usage. I picked a panel that I thought would be most practical for the discussion. Their was a lot of playing around with techniques etc and a lot growing pains. But I do see what was meant by other guys on the forum about learning curve and getting used to it. I'll probably learn to love this machine more in the future.
