Well Santa fell down the chimney and dropped a Rupes polisher under my tree! I was pretty excited to see that my wife hooked me up with this! I love it! Amazing!

Some comments after a brief use this afternoon. I had to try it out so I went and polished the hood of my truck with it! My good friend Buddy came over to check it out too! Yeah!

Very high quality look, feel to the build/product. Excellent power cord. Long and heavy duyt! Backing plate is vented and has a nice foam pad to it. This machine is the smoothest I have ever used/felt! Unreal! So smooth! Pretty quiet too! You can feel the power...it never bogged down even under some heavy pressure and you can still one hand this thing! I got some Rupes pads along with it and used their light cut and their finishing pads. Very nice pads. I know they are a little more expensive than your average pad, but these things look like they are built like a brick sh!t house! Solid!

Anywho...I will update this/start a new thread when I have a few more 'miles' on it and keep everyone updated.

I'm pumped! (Thanks to my wifey!!!! :dblthumb2:)

Congratulations!

I am on the waiting list for both the 15 and 21.

This is definitely an awesome machine and in my opinion is in a league of its own among non-forced rotation D/A polishers.
I really enjoyed giving it the first spin out of the box:xyxthumbs:

Scott your wife definitely took care of you this Christmas with this awesome machine :props:

Thanks sizzle chest! Glad I had you test drive her first! LOL!!! I wanted to see how it operated/sounded/polished/etc...kinda hard when you are using it yourself! I was glad to have you use it 1st amigo!

(Had a great time today too...)

Im the MAN

Looking forward to your opinion once you get some more use. Congrats!

Very nice. I'm torn between the 21 and 15.

When I talked to Kevin, he said the 5" RUPES backing plate from the 15 would work on the 21.

I'm going to get the 21 and just get the smaller backing plate to go with it.

I know that they are interchangeable...I'm concerned about the throw. Do you really need the 21 or will the 15 be enough to correct. Ideally both would be nice, but $800 is a bit much.

That's exactly what I ordered. Both BP's and the 21. I asked for $ for Christmas and had already ordered it. It'll be waiting for me when I'm back from my cruise, to import duty free!

Congrats! One day I hope to join the ranks of Rupes users, one day...

Richy, what happens if the polisher breaks down lets say 6 months from now. Do you send it back to Italy?

Nice......and there were some that doubted there was a market for a non-forced DA at $200 when this is much more expensive.

Man idk if I want the 21 or 15.....
I mainly use a 5" with my GG 6"
Sometimes smaller pad is good, but sometimes bigger pads get the job done faster lol..
What should I do?!?!?!?!?

You will love it more every time you use it. If not only for lost no vibration, just the fact it makes the products work so much better!
Just a matter of time until ag has them

Certainly blew that theory out of the water!

Like I always say...

Always be open to new products, tools and techniques...

I'm also continually typing that I've seen more new technology introduced in the last few years than in my entire lifetime in this industry and the RUPES polishers are just another indicator of this fact.

We try to carry and provide the best in class tools, pads and products and everyone wins.

I have not used any of the RUPES polishers yet but I'm getting them in a few weeks. And as soon as I get them I have some very cool cars to detail and put them to the test.

I've been teaching people how to use the Porter Cable since it was introduced to the "car detailing world" back in the early 1990's and over the last 2 decades that's been a lot of people including the people that attended the class I taught at your detail shop back in around 2006 or 2007.

If the RUPES is everything my friend Kevin Brown says it is and if I simply continue to follow my passions, that is detailing cars and showing others how to detail cars, then chances are good I'll be sharing the RUPES polishers as long as I'm active in this industry and I still have a very strong passion for teaching the art of polishing paint and walking the walk myself.

Looking forward to testing out the RUPES polishers...

:D
