Looking for a "Glassy Hard Candy Shell" look out of a LSP...

yeah I plan on doing a full correction all ready got pads compound polish detecting lights everything I should need after the polish would a good glaze be ok then the duragloss combo or just do the duragloss combo

my plan of action was to do a full paint correction then ez crème glaze then blackfire sealant then collinite 845. but if the duragloss will give me a deeper wetter gloss I am going with that ?

so would the duragloss 111/601 work good on black paint

This is a picture of the Daughters Twilight Blue Metallic with 601/105. That blue is as close to black as it comes just to give you an idea of looks.

Surprised no one has mentioned FK1000p for that glassy type of shine.

Are you talking about Blackfire Wet Diamond? Feed back please.
:buffing:

Tried WGDGPS... too warm looking. I think Blackfire goes for the same warm look. Want razor glass like finish.

Tried the Klass twins and liked the look but man it was a bear to remove... also didnt like the fact I had to do 3-4 layers of SG to get the look.

I dont want a permanent sealer like Opti Coat, etc...

Any suggestions on what to apply after a full correction?

Have you done the full paint correction already, or is this something you're anticipating to wish to do soon?

Do you need a full paint correction, and if so, may I ask why? Swirls, lack of gloss, or wish to try to amp the gloss some more?

Honestly, I found WGDGPS 3.0 to come out quite glassy, and ultra slick looking on my 2001 Kia a little over a year ago after a correction with the PC, and the Wolfgang Twins. And on some areas of the vehicle, I didn't even use the WG Finishing Glaze, went straight from the WG TSR to the Sealant.

Topping WGDGPS 3.0 with something like the WG Liquid Seal WOWA seemed to work quite nicely also.

Working on a Dark Metalic Blue Audi S5.

High on my list is Supernatural Hybird Sealant Paste due to the reviews of "high shine" I've read and the ease of application. Its not some "watery" product like Klasse HGSG which just wasn't enjoyable to work with or especially remove.

Tried Collinite 915 (due to rave reviews of working well on dark colors) but I found it too warm and muted the high reflective shine I had right before I put it on (used PS21 Paint Cleaner, great stuff).

I know its odd that I have a dark color but still prefer the "bling" look.

I have some Supernatural Hybrid Sealant I don't want, bet we can work out a deal.

Two or 3 coats of Ultima Paint Guard Plus will provide the look you are after and it's a breeze to use.

What's the cure time inbetween coats?

Thanks Troy!

Even though I currently have DPPC on my car and plan on doing a "refresh" this spring including a Speedy Prep towel decontamination, DP paint prep and followed with 2x's DPPC, I will "maintain" with Ultima Paint Guard Plus afterwards, even though I'm not sure I will not be needing it, gotta see how it works. I will be trying it out on my wife's Mazda 6 though, so we'll see how it goes.

Thanks again!

For that glassy hard as nails shine, I would look into a coating such as Pinnacle Black Label paint coating.

I agree but recommend CQUARTZ UK for a product that is more proven and very easy to use.

I was also going to recommend a coating but seeing he's already got Klasse in his arsenal I thought I'd let him know how to properly use it. I agree about coatings, they look good and really do last, I've got 2x's DPPC on my car and this winter has been brutal, lots of snow and salt, 2 polar vortexs and long intervals between washes but when I do a rinseless wash it cleans up very easy and the paint looks fantastic!

I could say the same thing about my wife's car but substitute SG for DPPC! :D

Chemical Guys E-Zyme Natura gives extremely sharp edge reflections. As does Race Glaze Signature Black Label.

The glassiest looking LSP I've ever used is NaviWax Ultimate. I don't know how else to describe it but "glassy". Of course, you won't find that wax here.
