I'm not a tech person myself but PayPal is EASY and offers many payments options to make things easy. Also I've never had a problem with them

I'm just curious as to why, if you don't mind, just curiousYour correct on the easy part for sure- But I am looking for some alternatives-- I want to get away from PayPal
Environmental, Social, and GovernanceWho / what is ESG?
Got to be careful anymore- things aren't like they were when I was a kid back in the 60's. Back then , if people had differences of opinion, they could dialogue in a respectful manner. Today, its a RARE thing that it happens like that. Now- not exclusively, but predominantly one side wants to cause harm or worse to the folks that dont agree with them. Thats why also I dont belong to many forums anymore, certainly any that I had to pay for and thats why I dont go over to AGO's "sister " forum anymore ( its dead there anyway ). With a forum as big as this one, there are certainly LOTS of folks like that .Environmental, Social, and Governance
Its a partnership between America's biggest banks, the federal government, and global groups like the World Economic Forum.
It is also part of The great reset.
Its hard to explain without sending a bunch of links to which you may or may not have any interest in reading.
Im not going to derail this thread. And i also know that there will be folks on here that will call me a conspiracy theroist....to which i am not. BUT if you do the research on it...you will find that this is true.

Venmo is a popular alternative but owned by the same company. Zelle is good if all you’re doing is sending money to someone, not for payments of online shopping.
How do they make any money if its all for free?Cashapp. If you’re looking for a method of paying People the way you would use Paypal Cashapp is absolutely perfect. It’s quick and easy to sign up, it has a super simple interface, super fast to use and send money to people, and best of all completely free to send and receive money. There’s no fees.
PayPal blows. It takes too long for their transactions to post + they charge fees to simply send someone money.
IMO Venmo sucks. Too many things on the screen. Sign up process is a hassle and requires too much unnecessary information.
Apple Pay is my preferred method of paying for things where I used to use Paypal. Notice I said things and not people, because I still haven’t figured out how to pay people with Apple Pay and they don’t seem to explain it to noobs like myself but I honestly don’t really care.

Regarding ESG, that is a form of rating companies such that investment companies may not choose to invest in companies profiting from tobacco for instance, which is known to be addictive and can lead to some cancers. The bigger investment firms may have to be more careful with who they choose to invest in as some people may not like it such as facial recognition, which is a hot topic today. Smaller investment companies can likely invest in whoever they want but would have to deal with the fallout if they invested in an unpopular company/segment and it is found out. This happens all the time to CEOs and companies that say/do stupid ####. Elon Musk and the lack of filter on his posts/mouth is one that stands out negatively. So ESG is absolutely a market segment now and has spawned companies supporting/rating/profiting off of it however they can.Environmental, Social, and Governance

......Since I know you’re referring to me on the conspiracy theories, I’d like to respond. First, my father is a Rush Limbaugh disciple and is constantly spewing stupid #### that simply isn’t true. To say it’s beyond tiring doesn’t even begin to frame it. And one conversation on here where I know I blew up with conspiracy theories had a guy mention tagging cats in Britain and that was just the start of them tagging humans…and several people jumped in and said yeah to that. Sorry, the majority of people are already easily tracked by the phone they carry.

And thanks for the info on Apple Pay, I will have to get that setup on my debit card and going again. I’ll have to contact my bank since they screwed up the first time I tried to enroll.
Other than sending people money, why would anyone use any of these options to pay for things (PayPal) when a credit card has fraud protection and credit bonuses and zero cost if paid monthly?
And accepted by 99.9% of stores and vendors online.
