I've been experimenting with water-based dressings on my Plastidipped wheels. I don't find the Plastidip Glossifier to be very good.

So far I've tried Spray wax, 303, CG VRP, and CG G6.

I like the G6 the best so far, but I'm hunting for even more durability and shine.

I've been looking at the new Pinnacle Gel, UTTG, and Tuf Shine.

Out of these three, which will last the longest and shine the most?

You are talking about the rim, NOT the tire, right?

Wait, you meant for the wheels or tires?

That's what it sounds like. He wants an alternative to plasti-dip's glossifier.

With that being said, I find Opti-bond to be pretty shiny.

I don't believe Optimum Opti-Bond is a water based tire dressing. At least not what I have. It does not mix with water.

Carpro PERL on the other hand is diluteable with water, and is water based.

While I have liked Opti-Bond quite a bit, I'm liking PERL a bit better. Like Opti-Bond, Perl will give high gloss to tires with 2-3 applications I've found.

Over time, apparently due to time, washing, or rain, some gloss is of course lost with either, but this is probably true with any tire dressing made.

PERL seems to be less "oily", and I note it seems to attract less dust than Opti-Bond Gel does.

I want to try all these!

But alas not so good for my wallet.

D170 sounds great but it also doesn't sound very durable.

Now I'm more torn on what to try! lol

Thanks for the help though

Mark,

Opti-bond can be diluted with water. They recommend it to be sprayed out of their spray gun.

you can read it on AG product description.

Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel, Tire gel protectant, OPT Tire Dressing Gel, protect tires, optibond tire gel

When I think about some of the glossiest dressings, I immediately think of Megs Endurance and NXT Insane Shine. I doubt they are water based however. The new Pinnacle dressing peaks my interest and on short list of products to try .....

Megs HD undiluted.
