Looking to try something new for tires.

Trying to get away from clingy protectants, maybe something water based. I've used Armor all foam pretty faithfully but it seems to only hold up for about a day or two, any suggestions?
 
I use a McKee's Tire Coating on my tires.

It's nothing like a dressing. Takes some prep work to use it though as the tires have to be surgically clean since it's a "coating" and not a dressing.

Besides that, I've been using the SONAX Gloss Tire Gel a lot lately and it's a darn nice dressing.

Although it's not necessarily designed as a tire tire coating/dressing, I'm quite happy with the results I've gotten from Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer (the cream stuff, not the aerosol) on my truck tires. It's a lot more work than a simple dressing to apply, but it looks great, it's dry, non-greasy and has excellent durability.
 
Mike beat this Mike to respond but I to was going to recommend McKee's Tire Coating. It's been working out great for me.

 
I like "clingy" tire dressings...
not the ones that are "slingy".

With that in mind:
I use Optimum Opti-Bond;
and/or Meguiar's M39/M40.

How long are McKees and Gyeon lasting? Like the idea of coating a tire and not worrying about it for months. Especially on my two grocery getters.

I'm still using the Bold and Brite based off your 14 Vette and yours and Pat's recommendation at DF. Love that stuff. Don't dress my tires that often. Not really going to impress the Walmart crowd with dressed tires on my Sienna. I save it for special occasions like a trip to the big city and Target:)

For me McKee's lasts 3-4 months max and gyeon tire about 6 weeks. Gyeon tire is more of a tire gel than a true tire coating like McKee's.

I concur with using Meguiar"s No 40. I have used this on tires for at least 5 years now and am very satisfied with it.
 
Try the coating. Follow the directions to the T, and you'll never look back.

Hope I don't get in trouble by saying this. The BEST water based dressing that I've used is Mud by well you know who. It's to expensive to use on customers cars, so I only use on my two personal cars. I love perl but I am fading it out and going with Optibond Tire Gel for my customers due to $$$$.

I've found tire dressing and coatings to be highly dependent on the tire's rubber compound. This has lead me to go with simple tire dressings over a coating. They are cheaper, and the ease of use doesn't bother me if I have to apply it to one vehicle more frequently than another.

My poison of choice right now is Duragloss 253, but when that bottle runs out, I'm looking at the Griots tire gel.
