Looks like a CQuartz Knock off ?

Meguiar's already makes a product to polish it off.
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #85 Diamond Cut Compound 2.0

See? It has diamond in the name, meaning it has diamonds in itIm the MAN

LOL.

In the same vein of thought:
I have been using Meguiar's Professional Detailer's Series line-up of products, so...voila!...aah, you guessed it!! No?

See? They have Professional in their name, meaning if you use them your a professional. :D

I've read that when fully cured Opti-Coat has a hardness rating of around 9 on the Mohs scale.

I'd like to know what the CQuartz rating is.
9H is the hardest pencil lead there is. If Opti Coat is a pencil hardness of 9H when fully cured then THAT I can believe. A 9H pencil lead hardness is not the same as a 9 on the Moh's scale. A 9H pencil lead is still pretty hard, however.

I think this link should clear things up as to Opti Coat's hardness.

I get severe marring in Opti-Coat using PakShak towels so it cant be THAT hard. I did some testing and found that its the silk border that is doing the marring... I also have the same issue using my Ultimate Guzzlers when drying. Using a little more than normal pressure my Cobra Jr 600s will also leave marring.

Next on my list is going to be CQ to compare how it handles this marring.

This looks promising and I hope the cost continues to drop! :props:

Don't hold me to those findings right now. This was bugging me enough today that I stripped the OC from my hood and re-applied in with a very heavy coat. I'll give it a day or so then check on how it responds to different MF towels.

I recieved a PM from a forum member that ordered this product (SystemX).Can't wait to hear how it works for him. :)

Just wondering how you fared after you re-applied the OC?

I just placed an order for this, figure one of us should bite (take?) the bullet on this one. Ordered the 100ml kit, came out to $45.45 shipped. The only shipping option was domestic ground, so whoever that is. From CT to IL, I hope to have it by the end of the week....in time for the scattered and isolated thunderstroms, but the 10 degree drop in temp will be nice. Hopefully I can get some testing in, on both how long it lasts on paint, windows and wheels.
Hi there, I understand this was posted a while ago but just wondering if you tried System x's ceramic coating?? I understand by now they have a much updated product but I was just curious. Thanks in advance

There seems to be many of these "new" ceramic-type products from a varied host of manufacturers/suppliers. IMO...Chemistry, chemicals, and marketing are available around the world to those willing to take the initiative and/or chances.

But, what a great name for this company! The next Element in car-care!

{I wonder what are they going to do about their 'Name' when the Russian chemists, along with some of their peers from around the world, finish synthesizing the actual Element 119, as they so did with the introduction of Element 118 to the Periodic Table?} :D

Bob

Agree now there is saturation with these coatings.Everyday on FB there is a new coating.

If it was any good after six years, AG would carry it.
