Wow i appreciate everyone's response and it has helped me to know what to do or say next time.

People will spend $30k on a vehicle, but not 1/100th of that every year or two to keep it looking new (better than new). Silly. I'd hate to see what a $30 full detail looks like.

Spray some apc on the exterior and run it through the gas station wash.

I think that when she calls back for you to fix what the other guy did, you will have newer, higher, prices.

I base my prices on hourly and factor in for products used/electric/water/gas (if mobile), etc. I make it clear on what my plan on using so if they want to look up how much I'm spending on the products, they understand a little better on why the price is where it's at. Speaking of this topic, I have a customer who has a new black f150 that I fully detailed(exterior, light swirls from dealer) a few months back that he was very satisfied with. He recently told me his wife who has a black suv went to a local carwash detail service and got her car done for 60 bucks and it looks terrable, and he's not sure exactly what they did. He then told me it was a fundraiser for something so at least there was a legitimate excuse. Anyway, thank you carwash for bringing me another job.
