Lowes ONR grout sponge...

Picked up two twin packs last week but haven't used one yet. It's cool and windy outside today so I may ONR and Erase indoors and try the Proline rather than 2BM outside with the Madness Incredisponge.

OP, you can buy an even better grout sponge on Ebay or Amazon, its called the Aqua sponge:thumbup:

What is the name of the old grout sponge?

this is the one you want...

Sadly, their website lists it as "no longer available".

I used a twin pack "all purpose" sponge today for spreading Iron-X and it worked perfectly.

Even with Prime, that Aqua sponge sure is spendy! For a few dollars more you can get a Microfiber Madness Incredisponge from Corey (Cee-Dog).

Is the Proline K-56p All Purpose Two Pack the same sponge as the K-26p Grout Sponge? It looks to be the same size

i don't believe so. the one that is bright yellow is very soft (even softer when wet) and has many holes so dirt/contamination can bury itself into and with just a squeeze in the rinse bucket, it comes out clean. that's pretty sad they aren't available anymore, i'm down to my last one in the original package... :(

That photo is from the Lowe's site and that is not at all what they look like. I've never seen a pack of K-56P that dark, they are bright yellow at the Lowe's around me.

And again, according to PaintUSA.net, the K-56P is the K-28P in a 2-pack (2x28). Same sponge.

I'd suggest calling them directly for answers as opposed to speculating. Very nice people.

Here's the link but this photo that Lowe's uses is absolutely not representative of what they look like:

+1 to musclecar22. I picked up two K-56P twin packs last week and the sponges are bright yellow, have as many holes as a sponge, and are super soft when wet. I have other great wash media so I only intend to use the sponges for Iron-X, tried it, and for this it works perfectly. Releases suds and dirt instantly.

Does HD have a similar product? I found a two pack of sponges last time I was there but was hesitant to purchase.

I just got the 2 pack at home depot. Gorilla or grease monkey, something like that, going to try them today

Just curious if anyone followed up to confirm the k-56p is in fact the same old grout sponges we all loved in a 2 pack?

Does anyone get the bone shaped one?

The bone shaped Proline sponge is super soft but does not have any open pores so the dirt just lays on the surface. I have one that I use for unpainted plastic bumpers but i do not use it for paint

Hmm, that's really interesting. Why would the do that?
Thank you for the response!
