I'm always amazed with this number:

Which tells me there are a lot of lurkers watching. One piece of advice I always give is, write on the forum as if your customers are reading your posts. While I'm always professional both on and off the forum, (i.e. what you see here is pretty much what you get when I'm not on line), I always write with the same premise.

You never know who is reading your posts and in this case, it turns out my customer happens to be a lurker, (which we're working on getting him to jump into the warm waters of Auto Geek!). He contacted me because he sees my posts on the forum and was hoping I could give some TLC to his vehicle. After meeting and doing a VIF on his vehicle it was clear that he showed that he's got the bug of detailing and following the forum has helped keep his vehicles looking like new. The paint was in great shape, no obvious swirls, scratches, just a few light wispy scratches and some love marks. The trim had been treated with WETS and still looked good. But it was time for annual maintenance, polish out the paint to level set it, remove some blems and add a fresh sealant application, along with an interior and all the trimings.

Thanks to Interior Gal, who worked her butt off in the heat and did a fantastic job on the interior. Sadly, due to pending storms, we didn't get all the pictures we wanted and sadly non of the iterior.

The details:

Engine Bay: Using Nick's "how to detail your engine like a pro" How To: Detail Your Engine Like a Professional
McKee's Engine Degreaser, various Mothers and Speed master brushes
Engine Trimming: Megs D114, Pinnacle Crystal Mist QD, Blackfire AIO Tire & Trim

Wheels & Tires - Megs D143, Wheel Woolies, Speed Master Brushes, and Mothers Brushes

Exterior:
Front Bumper - Tarminator to remove grime, grease and other stains on bumper
McKee's Iron Remover
2BM - AG Foam Gun, Megs Hyper Wash mixed with some CarPro Reset, 2 Chenille Wash Mitts
Blow Dry
Clay - Nano Skin Fine Clay Mitt w/ Megs D114 as clay lube

Polish:
Rupes MKII, Rupes Yellow Polish Pads (x6) and (spot buff one section with x1 Rupes Green Pad), 3D HD SPEED. Speed did an amazing job and cleaned up the B & C Pillars nicely. We polished EVERYTHING, we polished the windshield, entire glass roof, side windows, lights, etc... We figure since we have the pads and polish, put them to work!
NOTE: For those that don't know, HD Speed is an All in One Polish and sealant, made from 3D Polish and 3D Proxy. It's cut level is darn good and it leaves a glossy sealant.

LSP: Megs Ultimate Fast Finish

Trim - BLACKRIE AIO Tire & Trim followed up with Megs FF

Wheels - LSP - Pinnacle Crystal Mist
Tires - Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel
Glass: Pinnacle Crystal Vision w/ Water Repellant
Tail Tips - Pinnacle Exhaust Tip cleaner and LC Scrubber

Interior:
Mats extracted, carpets shampoo - McKee's Extractor Pre-Treatment & McKee's Upholstery Cleaner
seats (part leather/part alcantara) - Sonax Aclantara and Upholstery Cleaner
All other surfaces: McKee's Total Interior Cleaner
Int Glass: McKee's Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner

Enjoy!

Great work and write up and pictures!

It cleaned up awesome and the before and after pictures is great to see the difference. Even if no pictures on the interior the interior gal did the same level of quality work as you did.

Thanks for shareing your work Paul and The Interior Gal :D

Nice Before and after pics my friend! I have to start setting aside time and setting up some more formal photos of my work along the way.

Oustanding work!

Thanks Custmsprty!

Great Job especially the engine!

Thanks Chopper! Engines are the icing on the cake, the owner opens the hood and BAAM! Instantly they know there isn't one square inch of the car we didn't touch and detail.

Thank you Tony!!! Interior Gal outdid herself. She even got stubborn stains off the headliner! She's good.. I can't afford to lose her! :)

Nice clean up! Drastic before and afters!! Nice!

Thanks Sizzle! Scott, let me know if you need help with that Porsche. I'd be glad to drive it, err... I mean help detail it. :)

Thanks TTQ, we don't do nearly as good of a job with photo's as we should. Our camera is iPhone and we're always so pressed for time. From the time we're done to the pickup time is so short. Our goal is to get a vehicle delivered within one hour of completion. We need to invest in a real camera like Scott (Sizzle Chest) has and start taking some good photos. Thanks again!

Awesome work, Paul!!

Coincidentally, I just drove up to your old stomping grounds with an F-150 to trade for a Ruby Red Edge sport today. (Lebanon Ford).

That is one peppy ride!

I polished out the A, B and C pillars on my Ford Explorer and they looked great, but 2 weeks later they are scratched again. What kind of coating can I put on them to minimize the scratching?

The F150 EcoBoost is pretty serious. Thanks Paul.

CarPro DLUX is my go to...
