So it is finally turning into spring here in the midwest, so I was able to get a few things done on the car.

I installed my new coilovers and lowered the car a little more than 1.5". After I got the suspension all squared away, I obviously needed to clean her up. :xyxthumbs:

Products used
- ONR (3 buckets - wash, rinse, and wheels)
- Sheepskin Mitt
- DI Waffle Weave Towels
- CG V7 + Ultra Plush MF Towel for final wipe
- Opti-Bond Tire Gel
- PBW Wheel Sealant

*note: The car is coated with 22ple VX1 Pro. It has been on the car for 6 months now. Still performing great, and obviously very glossy. :dblthumb2:

^After ONR wash... water drops on bumper were wiped away with V7

Not the most exciting "Show N' Shine"... but I like posting pics of my car every now and then Im the MAN

So what you're telling me is, you got coilovers, and only dropped it 1.5" :/

More lower, wider wheels :D

It was dropped 2", but I would rub slightly on hard corners. Plus the whole tucked tire look just isn't what I was going for.

I will be getting more flush rims once these tires wear out... no point in replacing like new tires.

Looking good Zach. What coils are in it?

Now its time for some wheels. How about some Work VS's?

Megan Racing EZ coilovers

I do like the style of those Works, but that price point is out of my reach for this car... I need something that I won't worry about every time I drive the car. Roads here in IL are anything but "nice"

Looks good man. Can you tell us more about the 22ple application, steps taken to apply it etc? After 6 months what are your thoughts on the 22ple?

Zach, your IS always looks awesome! I think your ride height is perfect.

Thanks... please reference my original thread about 22ple. If you read through it, you will find a few updates along the way.

As for my thoughts on it after 6 months... I will repeat what I said in the OP.

Thanks! I really like this height as well... it is functional and looks so much better than stock! It is a nice sporty drop, not slammed, which is what I wanted.

I thought I noticed some thing different about your car when I saw your sig pic change. Looks awesome Zach.:xyxthumbs:

That's a great looking IS. V7 sure adds a tremendous amount of shine.

Some wider wheels and that IS would be complete. The gloss from that coating is great! Do you know if it will look as good on lighter paint colors?

Thanks, the 22ple is what is giving off the majority of that gloss! V7 may help a touch.

Yup, wider wheels will be on it in the next year or so!

Check out some of my other threads in which I have used 22ple... it looks great on silver, red, and black.

I'm not a fan of the "tucked under" look. It takes away from the classy look of the car. Wider wheels will cure that. With that said, you have a tremendously glossy, detailed car! :props:

What's your budget on wheels?

Drag
Xxr
Rota
Enkie
Linea corse
Work
VIPmodulars
Advangrante

Just in case you want options :)

Nicely done Zach!!! The stance looks really good.
Thanks!

Yup, after new wheels the car will be about complete. Subtle mods, but an overall much better look than OEM.

VIPmodulars
Advangrante <- Assuming you mean Avant Garde?

Yeah, I was thinking around $1500-$2000 for wheels... I'm a fan of the Linea Corse 818's... I'm also a fan of the Work VS-XX style wheel too. I'm really bad at making up my mind so it is going to have to come down to whatever I can find the best deal on. I'm hoping that I can find a good set of used wheels so that I can get better quality wheels and still stay in my budget.

Here are the LC818's

I like the sporty, but classy look of each of these... Not a fan of VIP style wheels

It looks to me as though wheels any wider than you already have would scrape the lip of the fender well. I'm no car lowering expert though so I could be wrong. Looks great as is.

Car looks great. Still looking at some coilover options for our IS. Rotiform has my interest for my next set of wheels.

What are you using to maintain the coating? V7? I like the look of it. Nice car...very nice
