I was contacted by the owner of the Marauder a few months back asking about getting some correction done. He brought the car over to get an estimate and so I could take a look at what I was going to be working with. After a little bit we worked out our schedules and got the car in for the correction work.

I started out with the normal paint prep wash. I foamed it with OPC 2-3 times to help get rid of any wax or oils on the paint. Steve (the owner) keeps it very very clean, so clean I felt like I was getting it dirtier by actually washing it.

Once I was done with the paint prep wash I dried with a guzzler and used a blower to get water out of the cracks.

Paint correction products:
Flex 3401 speed 4
Menz 203 w/ uber green pad
Menz 106ff w/ uber green pad
Brinkman Dual xenon

Now that the car was washed and ready to get polished here are some pics of what I was working on. There was some filling from QD’s and probably the previous detailer. You will see some rotary holograms left behind.

Now the corrected paint. I didn’t get 50/50s for two reasons. 1 I was busy, 2 I was lazy and they are not necessarily in that order.

Here is how I polish the back of the trunk. (ps Mike P notice how I have the bottle turned properly so you can see the name )

Thank you for looking. All questions, comments, and criticisms are welcome.

Looks GREAT! Black cars are so tough. I don't think I could own another one! Too lazy these days I guess....

Those cars are great, nice work with the black it is looking awesome now

Jon,

Fabulous results! :props:

I love Menzerna products and this is just another example of how well they work....in the proper hands of course.

A black vehicle done right is pure elegance and this one is dripping wet....:dblthumb2:

Awesome work...

I didnt know there was a shop in Louisville that did this level of work...Lived there most of my life and never knew it...

Clean Marauder for sure!

Chris, neither did I until I met John. I cannot express how incredible my Marauder looks in person. As they say, pics do not do it justice. It literally looks like a still black pond or a black mirror.

If anyone in the Lousville or surrounding area is looking for a true professional detailer, John is your man.

I can tell from his pictures with the handheld that the paint looks awesome!!!

All the times of seeing this car I never noticed swirls or anything...You hid them well!

Since then I started using Menzerna PO285RD, I wish I had it for this car, your results with the Menz products are excellent.

May I ask what PO285RD is? Are you mixing up PO203 with PO85RD?

That car looks MEAN, Jon... excellent work!

Thank you Charlie. She was a pretty car.

Awesome job! Big, big cars for sure. Here's a link to one I did last year. Since then I started using Menzerna PO285RD, I wish I had it for this car, your results with the Menz products are excellent.

Thanks Bobby. I hadnt used my menzerna for a long time but they seemed to be the only products that were working on this car. I was happy I had them.

Thank you Chris. I run it out of my garage at the house and have only really been doing this kind of work for a year or two. I just moved back to Louisville for good 9 months ago. I was gone at college and now that I graduated Im back in Lou for good.
