This was done at a shop in CA as well as paint, all plastic trim done in powder coated aluminum. Coated all surfaces with c quartz finest, ammo mud on tires.
It is a little strange not correcting paint before coating! You keep thinking you forgot something. This also puts to rest the debate over finest changing matte paint.
Thanks for looking!

Nice job as always Mike.

What is your process for Matte finishes?

I washed with regular malco car wash , using micro madness MIT with no pressure. Spent a lot of time with the metro blaster, eraser wipe down twice, coated a panel at a time. Really was carefull about wiping it off, you cannot polish off any missed spots!
Thanks for the kind words!

Hey Mike, do you have any experience with the regular cQuartz on matte finishes? I have a 50 ml and want to coat my matte wheels on my truck, but I've been hesitant to coat them with anything as to not make them shiny. Thanks in advance.

If a vehicle surface is suppose to be defect free before a coating, how can you polish matte paint to remove swirls?

Nice job. However, the sheen(not gloss) was increased too much for a matte finish, IMO.

Agreed... looks a bit too shiny for a matte finish IMO.

But hey, if the owner was happy, that's the main thing. Nice work :xyxthumbs:

I say it was matte because it was not as usual, it did have a sheen to it,I can assure you finest did not change the sheen! I would call Corey at carpro to check on regular c quartz, I am not sure.

This car is wrapped. It is doesn't have a factory matte clearcoat.

Therefore this detail proves nothing about CQuartz finest other than that you can use it on a wrap.

A matte wrap and a matte clearcoat are very different products. A matte wrap is matte not because it has a matte clear but because it is opaque plastic. When you touch a matte wrap it feels perfectly smooth just like a gloss wrap. When you touch matte paint it has a different texture.

On my car I have both a matte clearbra on a car with BMWs factory Frozen paint. While the car looks fairly consistent, if you look closely and touch the difference in surfaces is there. I believe CQuartz finest would fill the texture and thereby add gloss on the matte paint. I know a lot of people with frozen finish cars, and not one who uses this CQuartz product.
