Maximize Your Product's Full Potential

awesome write up man! a lot of time and effort into this! looking forward to you posting more of your work, while I'm a nuba fanatic I still respect sealants! I have bfwdps and wgdgps sitting in the vault as well as a couple others, think I just ran out of mothers sealant

Great write-up!!! M205 is indeed a very versatile polish. I love this polish. I also plan on using this with the W8207 Softbuff 2.0 Yellow Polishing pad to polish up my red paint. Looks very promising.

I'm looking forward to seeing your WGDGPS3.0 vs M21 durability testing results.

Keep up the good work! And more pics of your sexy red Accord!

Thanks alot man, Psynx got me interested in WGDGPS3.0 when it turned out great on his White S2K.

I agree. I have been going to more and more OTC stuff lately. I have never found the 16oz bottles of 105/205 in a store though.

Me neither, but Advance Auto Parts has both in 32oz bottles, (at some stores).

... while I'm a nuba fanatic I still respect sealants!....

Say it ain't so!!!! YOU, a Nuba fanatic.... nawwwwww...... ROTFLMAO

But seriously, GREAT post brother.

I just finished the first ever (from what I could tell) paint correction of my sons 98 4Runner, along with a total removal/reconditioning of the roof rack. (Posted in another thread) Used Megs Clay / M105 / UC / M205 / UP / M21 / ULW and it was a ton of work, but worth it. Now to only get the rest of the truck done.

Thanks man. Wow thats quite the steps! Got any pics? I bet that thing looks flawless.

Next ill be doing my car with M26 paste wax. Im leaning towards more of a carnuba pop look see how that turns out.

Usually I do carnuba, just grew up in the 'wax on wax off' years. Just that I was doing so much synthetic with this project I figured to top it off with ULW would be OK for now.

I'll be posting finished pics in the thread. It's been rainy since I finished it and not able to get any sunny shots what so ever. For now it's just the roof, (hood to come tomorrow) but it does look a TON better, especially as it's a 15 year old 4Runner that I don't think has ever been touched.

In the meantime, I pulled it in from the rain today and dragged a towel across it. Here's a teaser: Im the MAN

CM8 6MT... late to the party but your post was fantastic. Just wanted to say job well done! Very nice work also.

Thank you much man! More to come soon!

Thanks CM8, great write up! Sometimes we get so overloaded with trying the latest, greatest products out there and try something for a short period of time before moving on to something else because of "marketing" persuasion. Many times we don't give ourselves enough time to get intimately familiar with a products's full range of effectiveness. While M205 doesn't really come under that because so many have found it almost instantly stunning, that doesn't mean you can't tweak its use. I love the concept you've put forth about maximizing products and keeping it simple. I have experimented simply with different pad combos with some products and have found some great results after.

Thanks again for a wonderful exercise and sharing it here.

Not a problem :) I agree with you that marketing does have an impact on people's purchasing decisions when it comes to detailing products.

Thank you :D

How the heck this I missed this? No idea. I'm just glad WRXINXS' XMT360 dealing have lead me here.

CM8 6MT - :applause:

Seriously, this is one of the best pieces I've read on here. :props:

I actually did a polish on my moms black car. Swirled pretty badly, used M205 with an orange ccs pad and I'd say I got 85-90% defect removal. Best part is the paint was so glossy I couldn't stop looking at it. M205 is really an awesome product.

Cm8 6mt is the ####

You better watch out, it looks like that red paint is so wet its dripping off the car! Nice thread and thanks for the XMT360/205 help!

I was just doing a search for this very article by CM8. I was doing the search for you to read this not so much to get you to switch from using xmt360 to M205, rather, to share with you the importance of sticking with a product to get familiar with it. I mean...you might as well because you've already paid for the product. Use it up. Doesn't mean you can't experiment on your car with M205 which is a stellar product. I was just trying to stick with the all-in-one theme for you.

Glad you found this article.
