McKee's 37 360 vs HD Speed - A quick review and comparison

Thanks everyone!

I've and it is pretty easy, no residue at all and it was pretty fast for very light swirls.

I've used it by hand to remove light oxidation, water spots, minor blemishes, etc. A machine is going to be your best bet for intensive correction work but it can certainly be used by hand on hard to reach spots.

How is it with dusting?

Thankfully I experienced no dusting. Once the product starts breaking after a good amount of polishing it begins to disappear/turn clear which makes wipe off pretty easy.

Wow. Awesome review haris. I've been looking at getting the 360 for a while now, but your description and obvious expertise with polishing have sold me. THANK YOU, my man!

Very awesome review. I'm glad that there are more than just the standard that everyone has been using. I'm going to have to order some and try it out now.

Good to hear guys :)

I forgot I recorded a video of both sides under my inspection light. I just uploaded it. I think it does a pretty good job of showing how similar the results were. Check it out:

Always loved the 360(back when it was xmt)

Great review and still the same great results.

I still have XMT 360 and what I really liked about it was that it didn't dust. I can't imagine the McKee's version has changed that much...

I have always had good luck with it.

So did you like the performance with the orange hybrid? Curious how the white one would do. I know it won't cut as good, but will it finish better? hmm...

I was going to order HD Speed, but it's apparently out of stock here and other places, so I was thinking of adding the 37 360 as my AIO

Depending on the paint hardness it can do some pretty good correction with the Hybrids. Another AIO that I found plays well with hybrids was Griot's Garage Finishing Sealant. Don't let the "sealant" part fool you. It has abrasives and it does have decent cutting ability.

I think since HD Speed is out of stock here and few other places, I might give this a go.

I have a flex 3401 as well and I'll give the hybrids a try. I'm assuming you recommend the orange (even though the product page says white) for better cutting? and lastly, is that a 5.5 or a 6.5? Looks like a 5.5 on a 4.5 BP?

Being AIO, I will probably us this on all sorts of cars that are daily drivers. I don't see using it on my C7 (which from me looking at it under the light is due for another polish)

I think it will do fantastic on the C7. Paint is tough on them but I bet this will cut through swirls just fine.

Not so much that, but I figured for my weekend/garage queen car, I'd do the whole 2 step.

Like I said on another thread, what is the point of an actual correct/polish then protect when you can do this? lol... Technology like this will make a traditional 2 step thing of the past!

just used my McKee's 360 for the first time & I'm loving it. black ram pickup & I decided to do the hood & see how it comes out. washed the hood, clayed it threw some 360 at it & then 845 wax. great results & real easy to use. I can see me using this stuff way more than I'll need to. these new ram pickups have water base clear & it's hard to keep from getting light scratches.

They're 5 inch Lake Country Hybrids. These pads are beveled and are meant to be used with a 4 inch backing plate (Lake Country interchangeable backing plate system).

Gotcha thanks!

Why do you prefer the 5" hybrids over the 6.5 ones on the 3401?

Perhaps I could get a 4" bp and get 5" pads myself depending on your reason. Less walking? less vibration? better control?

I have two 3401s at the moment. One with the 4 inch plate and my spare with the factory plate.

I feel I have better control with the 5 inch Hybrids. I also like using the 4 inch plate since I can swap between 5 inch Hybrids and any 4 inch pad of my choosing for tighter spots like bumpers, pillars, mirrors, etc. It's very convenient for production detailing work like AIO jobs.
