Mckee's Coating Prep Polish - Off label use

... I figured I'd post this here since it's product related:

Today I took the time to address a couple of minor details that my co worker had regarding his car that I detailed this past weekend...

1 of his questions was in regards to the black plastic window trim that he couldn't help but notice sticks out like a sore thumb now that the rest of the car is all nice and shiny.

In the past this is usually 1 of those areas that I usually try to avoid messing with if I can help it. [sort of like headliner] But since he seemed persistent about it I had to do something about it. So my 1st thought was to try the Mckee's Coating Prep Polish on it.

This is a before shot after wiping it clean with WG Uber real quik:

After a quik nickel sized application on a terry applicator by hand. Can you see Mr. Clean in the reflection now? Lol. Not bad for 1 minutes time eh?

Just like the previous time, I know it'll take some elbow grease, but I think I can fully restore it fairly quik.

Feel free to share any other methods to restoring this type of trim. Thx.

The parts on the truck are still looking good. They did not turn back into their old faded state [if that's what you were wondering about]

I took this pic shortly after seeing your post, but I hadn't logged back on till now. As you can see they're still looking good, but I'll admit I haven't been doing the best at maintaining this truck as clean as I'd like..

I haven't applied anything to protect these plastic parts since the 1st day when I applied the Meguiars D4510.
