I'll begin by saying I'm no professional, but I have a sense of what works for me, what doesn't, and what represents the best value to me. I've been wanting to try this stuff for a while in my foam gun, and with the good weather today, the time was right. I mixed it as per Mike Phillips' instructions, and went to town. My truck was not particularly dirty (it rarely is). I am a realist, and I was not expecting 'foam cannon' foam from a foam gun. What I was expecting, however, was better foam than I've gotten with Griots Brilliant Finish soap and Meguiars Gold Class, mainly based on the price of this stuff versus the other two. It definitely did not meet those expectations. The foam was maybe a little thicker than what I've gotten with the Griots soap, but certainly not enough to justify the price. It is double the price of Griots (12.99/64 oz), if you buy it by the gallon, and three times the price of Meguiars (6.99/64 oz). Is it better than the other two....not noticeably.

I know McKees is s popular brand here, and I do like the other products I've tried from them (360, wheel coating), but the high price takes this one off of my future shopping lists.

Other than being disappointed in the foaming category, how well did it perform as far as cleaning & rinsing off?

It worked well. Pretty tough to say how well it 'cleaned', because there really was very little for it to do in that category. It rinsed very cleanly...no issues there.

The hardness of the water also plays a factor. Have a few questions.

Do you happen to have any photos of the the foam on the paint?

How much soap did you put in the foam gun?

What foam gun?

I get decent foam with just a couple ounces of xtreme foam in a foam gun. What I like about xtreme foam is that yes it does clean well and has good lubricity. But it rinses clean and leaves nothing behind without masking the performance of an LSP. Also smells good. The gloss enhancers for Gold Class is something that I just don't like as it can mask an LSP's performance. Although it cleans well and is cheap. I haven't used brilliant finish so I can't compare that.

These are just a couple of examples of xtreme foam in a foam gun.

This is with a non-Autogeek foam gun

Sorry...did not take any photos.....it's the foam gun they sell here on AG.....set to max foam....just over 5 oz shampoo and filled with water...just like Mike says....it's not that it did not work well......just not well enough for me to justify the cost. For it's price point versus the other two I mentioned (Griots Brilliant Finish and Meguiars Gold Class), I was anticipating something that was 'head and shoulders' above.... it just wasn't.

I was able to use the McKees Extreme Foam last night. I used it with a traditional 2 bucket wash. Foaming seemed average with other washes I used, maybe a tad more foam than the WG Auto bath. Lubrication seemed inline with the more expensive WG Auto Bath which is my favorite. Cleaning ability seemed inline with the WG Auto bath. McKees Extreme foam wash is $14.99, WG Auto Bath is $24.99. But with the price consideration difference factored in the McKees gets a slight Advantage.

get a pressure washer if you want foam. i get blankets of from just from even gold class granted i have to use a lot. with pinnacle bodywork soap i get a blanket of foam an inch thick with just 3=4 ounces. ill take some pics next time i get a chance to wash but the pressure washer is a great investment even if its the harbor freight one. the foam cannon is more then the pressure washer.

Unfortunately, a pressure washer is not in the budget right now. I know that I'll get much better foam with one, but this review was about my impressions of McKees thru my foam gun, compared to other less expensive soaps through the same foam gun. Some day, I'll add a pressure washer and a foam cannon to my arsenal, but for now, the foam gun will have to do.
