Maybe you should look into the turtle wax tire coating. I use tuff shine myself, it makes subsequent cleaning of the tires a snap and sheds dirt easily, though I've never gotten a really wet look from it beyond initial application or touchups.

Longevity and high shine don't seem to go hand in hand for tires.

Not only does it work great on tires but does wonders on very faded trim.

I'm not sure how, or why, the two products seem to behave so differently with such similar chemical composition; however, I do prefer PERL on plastic trim much more than Hyper Dressing.

The MSDS does not disclose all ingredients so there is can be a real reason.

Coke and Pepsi have similar ingredients but seem people think they taste differently and others may say they are same.

Speaking of Coke. When I was young and poor we used Coke as a tire dressing. Works great. We would be at the spray car wash and drink half of the can and use the other half to do our tires. This was in the early 70's . I think Armor All was just getting a start and we never heard of it. The only other thing you could do was Tire Black. How many remember that stuff? We've come a long way.

So I CAN admit that I've actually been using it incorrectly. (I didn't dilute it. I will probably do the 1:1 (50/50 Mix?) and try that. But my main goal is to find a Tire Dressing that gives the "wet look" and does so for a considerable length of time. Finding one that lasts longer just gives customers an added reason to choose you again in the future when their car looks better for a longer period of time.

You have not created a monster at all. I like to read other peoples opinions on products and how they use them. As far as a wetter look tire dressing I use Poorboys Bold and Bright. It really makes the tires look great. If your looking for a really wet look then the Meg Hot Shine leaves a really wet shiny look to the tires.

For shiny and OTC I like Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel, it even comes with an applicator. From my experience you do have to let it dry a few hours or it slings a little.

For water based I LOVE PERL and at full strength it gives a good shine.

I have a gallon of HD but haven't used any yet.

the AA tire shine gel is actually a nice product, a little goes a long way and is available otc and reasonable in price. for tires i use to use the original AA tire foam and then top it with the tire shine gel and it would last a good while...

i like perl at 3:1 for engines and wells. for tires 1:1 works great and using it full strength is a waste because you're going to reapply in a week or two at the next wash when you scrub it off and it certainly last long enough till then. for trim I like to use it full strength and can go every other wash before reapplying. the only thing I would use HD for is wheel wells and engines at 3:1. don't care for it on tires or trim and would rather use something else. just my preference though, everyone has their own...
