I found that the center also gets too matted down to fluff up and this left me applying pressure with the sponge to fluff them up. I was worried it was going to destroy the pad. I also cut my bug sponge in two to give me more cleaning sides but think my rough cutting ended up making the sides rougher, making me think that was the reason for fibers being pulled out.
The denture brush definitely worked better but hopefully Shiny Lil Detlr is right about this shedding in the early stages of the pad! I got my kit in from the states as I live in South Africa and those pads are like gold to me
Now if only Meg's included their pad brush in the kit....
