Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System

I had one start to separate. If you would have showed it to me I would've said someone removed it improperly as it just started in one spot near the edge. However, it was a first use and hadn't even been removed yet. Called Meg's Customer Service and they sent me a replacement 2-pack. No problems since with other MF pads.

I think the jury's still out. Many of the testers reported good longevity. New product, mass production, may have some initial production issues. I've used 3 other MF cutting pads numerous times with no issues.

Yes 3m and Meg's make a 3" bp for a da, it has multiple attachments but there is one for 5/16's which is most da's like pc,gg

Has anyone tried the MF pads and system on the Flex 3401?

I've read quite a few reviews from people that tried it, and most people said that they don't work as well on the Flex as a traditional DA.

That being said, during the Meguiar's class at Detail Fest, the Meguiar's guy (I'm terrible with names) said that they can be used effectively with the 3401 but at slower speeds.

I am using the 6" Griot's DA, with the 5" Backing plate and 5" pads.

Should I try the 6" pads? (It was recommended to me by someone) or stick to 5" back plate w/ pads.

Well the MF pads are machine washable if you want to go that route. I normally use a pad washer or a foam pad cleaning brush and some good ole water. works pretty well. Personally, I chose the 5" just because my PC lacks the power of some of the other DA's and didn't want that extra inch.

Machine wash when done. I even machine dry on low.

I use the 5 inch. More correcting ability and fit into smaller places more easily. I use the 3 in for really small areas.
