Been wanting to try these couple of questions, I have the porter cable can they be used on my flex 3401 also. I use the wolfgang triplets and blackfire aio as well, will these play well with said pads or should I get meguiars 105 & 205. Or are there other polishes that are the hot ticket. Thanks for your input :buffing:

They will work very well with your pc....but IME they do not play well with the flex.

D300,D302 and D301 are the recommended polishes and compounds for the mf pads but I have found many others that play very well.......M105,M205,101,100,ultimate compound/polish even D151 just to name a few.

keeping the pads cool and clean are the most important thing for durability. Having an air compressor is the BEST way to keep them clean between section passes.

hope that helps.....

How will the wolfgang products respond.

I use Meg's MF pads on my flex with excellent results. Cuts hard clear in much less time than foam and leaves very little if any haze which cleans up beautifully with foam and light polish.

I have been using the 5" kit with my gg3 polisher and love it. The supplied polish and finishing wax work well together.

I have wolfgang tsr and fg, but haven't seen any reason to try them with the system.

I have the pads and have recently used the WG products with the pads on my PC. They work really well together.

This correction was Uber on MF cutting disc, followed by FG on polishing foam pad.

If you want to add some cutting power to the Flex then look at the Sonax Lambs wool pads.

These always get over looked. The have great cut and since they are made from lambs wool they finish down much better than a traditional wool pad.

I just ordered a GG6 and MF cut and finishing pads and I can't wait to try them.

I got the 205/21 on deck.

Just a quick follow up, mid fifty's today my wife's 08 sable needed washing. So I played with a finishing microfiber pad and wolfgang finishing polish. I must say I pleased with the results, the paint is in very good condition so that helps. I did use compressed air to clean the pad after every panel it really gave my PC a new meaning. Topped it with 845 & 50/50, Meguiars microfiber pads will take your D/A to a new level.:buffing:

Those microfiber pads are potent! I use the Rupes Microfiber. While I've had surprising results with Ultimate Polish on the yellow rupes mf pad, m105 on a blue rupes cutting pad obliterated 1000 grit sanding marks, in a very short amount of time, speed 4.5-5, on the 7424xp. I was shocked.

I hit it twice, but was playing around with the seasoning of the pad, and hadn't really dialed in the amounts. I probably could have done it in one polishing cycle.

I used meguars damf cutting and finishing disks yesterday with d300 and d301.
The car was a MB Sprinter Van. Did half the hood and wow! 3 to 4 passes, zero dusting, medium arm speed...
I was impressed how fast I worked to a good gloss finish (not show car finish, cause it's a working van).
Does anyone know a setup faster than this Meg's MF combo?

One thing: I found the pads a little too stiff to manuever curves and body lines. Any tips on that?

Using PC polisher.

Thks in advance.
