I noticed that very faint hazing on my headlights that are in very good condition (year old, garaged- they're pristine). I finally figured out the haze was being caused by the repeated application of the megs headlight protectant (which i really like btw). The PlastX took off the haze so quickly and with such a small amount of work and light pressure, that I can't imagine that I was actually abrading the plastic (or factory UV layer). So now every couple of months (or after 2-3 applications of protectant) I hit it very lightly with the PlastX and then reapply the headlight protectant.
Seems to be a really nice combo for keeping them clear and protected. Use the protectant very sparingly and work quickly.
