So, if anyone follows my threads, you will know that I became a huge fan of M101 after using it.

Well I had a Dodge Viper detail recently and it came back for the rest of its detail so I thought I would try it out on that as well... and it was amazing!

So amazing in fact, that I thought I would make a video showing just how GREAT this stuff is cutting through the worst swirls and leaving a very acceptable finish in one step!

Video in link below. Hope you enjoy!

M101 Video Review Side-By-Side Test - YouTube

P.S. If you can't see the swirls, watch in HIGH DEFINITION and FULLSCREEN

LMAO 0:08 @ that bug. Geez Florida has bugs the size of birds here in Cali.

Great video review dude! I havent tried M101 myself, but from what I read its supposed to basically be BETTER than M105 as far as cutting AND finishing ability. Sweet ride & sweet results.

I love your videos, but when I was watching this on my 52" LED Tv, my wife thought I was watching something on Animal Planet with all that wildlife in the background!! Rotfl!!

Thanks!!

You want to see a giant bug?! There's one that makes a really quick cameo and was freaking gigantic! Check out 0:39 to 0:40 in the top left corner. It's just nuts.

And yeah, I can't say about finishing, because both actually finished out well on the Viper, but M101 cut so much faster and so much better than M105! Awesome stuff, and when you do get around to trying it, I'm sure you'll love it :dblthumb2:

LMFAO! I think Florida thinks it's summer over here; the birds were chirping, the wildlife was blooming, the bugs were getting all crazy... and it was 82 degrees out! I believe it got to the 90s in South Florida. Just wait until my videos in this coming summer, you might have a hard time hearing me over the bugs

Nice review Roshan! Nice finish for a compound and probably could just go right to LSP. I haven't used this myself. I've been meaning to give it a try. (If you hear from NOVA, let me know!)

Great video, Roshan!

One thing I'd like to point out about your technique, you used very slow arm speed, exactly how you're supposed to do it! :props:

Excellent video as always, you taking the time to construct the videos for the rest of the guys on forum is truly appreciated. Keep them coming as I always watch your videos and comparisons, it helps out a lot as to which product to buy.

I thought you are always to be below speed 5 on all DA's using microfiber pads to resist de laminating the back and also the design of the pad to break down the compound better:(?

OK, so I'll watch this tomorrow, (it's freaking 3:00 am and I need to crash).
But.... if the bugs are that big I'm skeered to watch it on my 73" TV, I might have nightmares!

We did end up going straight to LSP actually! My new favorite compound :) PM sent also.

Thanks for watching Mark... and thanks for watching CLOSELY :props:

Thanks Dani :)

That means a lot to me Chris, these small videos can take a long time to record properly and then a few hours to edit properly, so it is very nice to see the hard work not go to waste. Thanks so much for watching!

Great video as usual.

Thanks for watching Johny :)

Yeah you probably should follow the manufacturer's directions. I sometimes forget about the whole speed thing and microfiber pads... I still get great results though :dunno:

I appreciated this video for sure as I just bought some M101. Now most of the cars I work on are not that heavily swirled but now that I've had some business cards made up I wanna be ready for the heavy jobs for sure. Last year I bought some XMT #4 after doing my future father in laws 96' Graand Marquis w/ the most aggressive product I had at the time, GG machine polish #2. It corrected about 70% I'd say, so I thought the XMT #4 would be a good choice, well after reading about Meg's 101 not sure if I'll even use the XMT #4, LOL.

I have used the Optimum 6" MF cutting pad before but it came apart, I usually set the speed no higher than 5.5 but usually 5 most of the time. I haven't replaced my 6" MF pad with another but I did buy the blue cyan pad from LC though and can't wait to try it out, also got the tangerine pad for finishing as well. How do you think the cyan blue LC pad will work with M101 Ihaveacamaro?.....or anyone else?

Thanks for watching!

I'm on my phone now, but if you go through my threads I actually have another m101 review just in pictures. If you see that thread, I can show you the results with a low profile cyan pad rather than just tell you. I think you will be very happy with the performance of that combo!

Roshan as always great video review. I have a bottle in the basement just waiting for the right car and I can't wait to give it a go.

Roshan, I too am on my phone right now but it sounds like I've got the right stuff for "that job" when it rears its head but I've got a question for you. How about soft paint that's really, really swirled? Would the M101 be too aggressive? I've got the M101, XMT #4, Griot's MP # 2 & 3 and Meg's UC for polishes right now. I'm not afraid but sometime you wanna cut right to chase and not mess around. I'm thinking M101 is for heavily swirled hard paint using speed setting 5-5.5 and GG MP would be fine for soft paint. I corrected claw marks left by a dog all down the side on a Honda S2K last year with Meg's UC w/o a problem, really came through for me.

Thanks for the input here again!
