Meguiars M188 Deep Crystal Coating

69,00 euros?
Can't read Italian. Did not see a language button.

Hi VT...
-I'm sure Michael Stoops, or a Meguiar's Asian-market rep.,
would be better qualified to give a more definitive answer;
but from what I've seen how M188 has been "advertised":

"A trained specialist" has direct access to M188.
(I take this as: Pro Detailer's only: ala Opti-Gard, CQuartz Finest restrictions)

-I could be wrong...Things might have changed since M188's introduction.
Kinda what I figured.
OCC fanatic, but...if I were to buy another Megs item...this would be it.
Mainly out of curiosity

Now that I think about it, I haven't purchased from Megs in over two years.
Might be a brain freeze, though.

I went to visit a friend in Hong Kong and stopped by the Megs HQ over there. I picked up several products not sold in the states...

-New can of M16
-M188 Deep Crystal Coating-Have yet to try it
-2 super soft waffle Koren Microfiber drying towels.

I've been waiting on the right car to put it on.

$50 USD=~38.12 euros

I also converted:

€ = Netherlands Antillean Guilder (ANG)
M188 in Amsterdam...€ 89.52=$49.99 USD

And...
The Philippine Peso (PHP)
M188 in Manila...2074.38 Pesos(PHP) = $49.99 USD
These numbers were as the close of today's business.

Who knows if ~$50 will still be the going rate if/when
M188 is sold here in the States, though.

:)

Nice. I paid about double that for my m188 when I was in Hong Kong.

To: tapp1...'my new best friend'.

Your wait...IMHO...may as well be declared: Over.

How about this one!!

45 minutes to completely cure?

I've read other M188 directions/instructions that say:
-After first application...Allow 45 minutes before 2nd coat
-3-5 days to cure.

Versus Opti-'s (please correct me here):
-Second coat: ~30 minutes after first application
-30 days, or more sometimes, to cure.

:)

Bob

3-5 days to fully cure versus 30 or more days gives the nod to Meguiars no doubt.

-If M188 ever comes to the States...Will its:

P R I C E... GO... UP...?!?!

Surely not... :nomore: :surrender:

Bob, I wouldn't be surprised if this product or something similar would make a debut at SEMA around the corner. With a few different manufacturers releasing a "coating" here im sure Meguiar's will get into the coating market as well.

They are usually a few years behind to release products compared to other manufacturers but im sure they are watching how the market responds to such products before they bring there own interpretation.

-They have the resources to R&D to their hearts content.

-And...If one of the reasons was, in fact, that M188 was not available here
due to any 'VOC compliance issues', that: When/if it's States-available...

The USA-M188-product is not a: "Watered-down-version".
