Meguires or Adam's?

Lol at mr.pink being better but than Adams soap. Adams shampoo I far superior in every aspect unless you're just looking for a cheaper soap. I have now optimum car soap Meg's hyper wash and I will probably order more Adams soap when I run out which will probably be years.

Not sure Mr. Pink is better at first I did not care for it, as I was coming from Adams, but I do think dollar for dollar Mr. Pink wins. As I said I did purchase a gallon of Optimum and their ONR, can't wait to see how it stacks up. Chemical guys glass cleaner really sucks it's just colored water to me, yes it smells good, so I would buy Adams over them however again when you ship liquids and add the extra cost I can go to lowes and buy Stoner because it make better business sense.:buffing:

Whatever floats your boat and you have good luck with your choice. Price does come into it if your in the business.

Certain car clubs, forums have their favorites, corvette , camaro and stangs. Zainoe, Adams etc...Lots of hype but again this IMHO just being a novice and reading here and different forums. I myself get the free samples here on AG when I do a order to check out different MFG`s items

Im the MAN

I think a lot more people would like Adam's if it weren't for the fanboy atmosphere surrounding them and their products. They are priced higher than most, but they certainly aren't the only ones in their price range, especially when you account for their 110% guarantee and the Made in America philosophy. I overall enjoy using their products and many used just about all of them. However, I also enjoy using many of the things on AG as well, and certainly find and use products that are better than similar Adam's products. At the end of the day, its up to the user to find out whats best for them, and no matter how much we talk about it on here, it won't make a difference

Mr. Pink goes for around $30.00 a gallon...
And even at that price-point: That's pretty expensive for car soap, IMHO.

Bob

It often depends on dilutions. I have usually not liked the dilutions recommended by CG but even then for a weekend warrior the pricier soaps are not ready that expensive in the grand scheme of things.

Thing about Meguiars, WG, etc gives us several choice in polishes and compounds , whereas the smaller companies gives you 1-2 only.
With today's paint one compound just won't do it
But if it works for you then that's fine.
I always said find something that works for you and stick with it.
For me I have many that I stick with being I work on different types of paints and clears.

Like having a 16" chainsaw, sure it will cut but you'll find it much too small to cut larger trees if need be.
I need 3-4 chainsaws because of the differences in "Cut"

Chainsaw.... anybody mention a chainsaw?

I've got an oldie but goodie, a Pro Mac 620 that came with a 20" & 26" bar. Have had that sucker for at least 25 years. As of this week I'm trying to find a surgeon that'll cut my back open with the darned thing!

Snow & Ice in Atlanta and my Doctor has been closed for 2 days. I'm hoping and praying he'll be there Friday as I'm needing meds, (that are no longer working btw) but HOPING he'll just send me straight to a room and call in a chainsaw operator!

Seeing I have only had to wet wash my car 1 time in 2 years I don't have a good soap review. But I will tell what I do to keep a Black 98Z clean and swirl free for two years. Here goes 2 yrs ago a wash with Meguiars Gold Class Wash 2.Clayed 3. 10 hour detail for swirls or whatever on surface. 4. Wax Older 80's vintage can of Meguiars #26 Yellow Carnauba and have also put newer Meguiars #26 HI-TECH Yellow #26 wax over that at times. And to me the best buy I have made to make a clean brake dust/ pollen and general swirl preventer was when I picked up a bottle of ULTIMA WATERLESS WASH PLUS+. You can make a 22 oz spray bottle of the concentrate out of 1/2 oz . It runs some where around $16-$22 for a bottle. I still have half a bottle left after 2 yrs. Ya i don'nt get it out as much I'd like. Remember it is BLACK so windy days or rain in forecast it's sleeping under cover. Now which is just as important as all the work is covering process. I use flannel bed sheets and Polar Fleese next to paint surface then a cheap cover to hold them in place. It been working for me. Hope some of this helps. Could'nt sleep it's 4 o'clock here so excuse my speelliinngg.

Love that old M26! I have a tub of it myself that has to be 15 years old AT LEAST. (That's what I sent you HateSwirls.) ;) I have bottles of it in liquid form as well. Big fan of M26 no matter how it rolls. :)

I hear ya' on keeping the ol' girl covered. I have a factory cover for my G35, one of those really light breathable covers. I freaking HATE that thing because of what it does to the paint! We've got old flannel sheets I'm sure, but think I'll have to look for fleece, (bet we don't have any of that floating around). :dunno:

It's those damn Adam's homers that are brainwashed that kills it. Adam's makes some great products.

I agree, any mention of any product other than ADAMS is a big no no on their forums. The members there kind of remind me of the Zaino fan boy craze a few years back. Heck even at the MOL forum, people talk about other products all the time. Lets face it, if ALL you use is one brand thats fine and dandy, but IMO your really limiting yourself.
