A1monkey: I've never wetsanded to remove scratches and such, haven't worked up the courage. However I did use one of those duplicolor premium repair kit to try and touch up some stone chips. It came with a paint pen, some clear, a sandidng pad (2000 grit if I remember correctly) and some rubbing compund. Anyways the compound is supposed to be used by hand but after some good amount of rubbing I decided to use the PC and a 4" yellow pad. I've yet to be able to remove the sanding marks completely. To be fair though the strongest stuff I have is Menz. IP so I need something much stronger. So I suppose a PC for removing 2000 grit marks is possible with the right product it will just take more work than with a rotary and some wool. Anything rougher than 2000 grit looks like a tough job but who konws.
