Menzerna or Megs for finishing polish

I had a 08 Accord - might as well call it a paint like product, not real paint! I found 87 aka FFII on a white pad with a PC could get even cat scratches off the hood. Now I have a GTI, have to use SIP on 4" orange pad for same thing. I have recently sent a half dozen cats to the shelter - a few went to friends, should eliminate the "Cat Scratch Fever"

Tell me about it. I had cats jump up onto my hood one night because it was freezing out. Hood was warm so they jumped right up onto my freshly detailed paint and slid right off, leaving those nice cat scratches all down my hood. First thing i did was run Orange w/SIP and that pretty much did the trick. Went back after that and ran Menzerna Nano on it and that sealed the deal... Thank goodness or else i would have been pretty pissed.

Hey folks. I have been using PINN-AFP on my black Acura RL and am running out. I bought a bottle of SIP and need a follow up polish. My question is, should I go with a Menz polish or maybe try the new Megs (205?) finishing polish?

Well you will be happy with either of them, but having both now, I will be reaching for M205 from now on.

Dave KG did an awesome review of M205 vs. PO85RD....not sure if you've seen it yet or not.

I also went over the hood of my girls RL with M105/M205 the other day and it looked awesome!

I liked it. It cuts like IP, and finishes down almost like 106FA. If a lot of correction is not needed, give it a shot. Works great for lighter color to. I'd problly still throw another finishing step in for darker colors cars(black, dark gay).
:iagree: Menz Power Finish is fantastic, great cutting ability, but again you need to evaluate the condition of the paint, if its in really bad shape, My arsanal includes SIP,Megs 105 or 205.....I love Menz products, works great with Power Finish, Wolfgang DGPS then Soveran...........

I just read Dave K G's thread. Maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't Menz 203 be the equal to Megs 205? Also, 3M bought Megs, no need to compete with them anymore....

With the release of the 205 and 105 my confidence has been restored in Meguiars. You cant go wrong with Menzerna or Meguiars, but I felt Menzerna had an edge on Meguiars. Meguiars doesn't make bad products, but I don't think they were making the best either and I feel in my case Menzerna provided a better product.

I've not used Menz 203 yet, but looking at the chart I'd say yes.
