How do you like power gloss compared to 105?
They are both great cutting compounds . I really can't say I like one more than the other.
Both need to be followed up by a finer grade polish.

From what I've read, Menzerna 85rd would be exactly what you're looking for. What is a good final product to use after compounding and using a finishing polish? Any particular Menzerna polishes that will give that extra pop? My plan is to use M105/M205, and then I just wanted something to add that extra bit of shine.

DA - Menz PO85rd w/ blue CCS pad
Rotary - 3M Ultrafina w/3M Perfect-It Plus Ultrafina Foam Polishing Pad
I don't have a rotary, so I think Menz PO85rd will probably be the way to go. What is the blue CCS pad? Is that a polishing pad, finishing pad, finessing pad, or what? I'm going to be getting the new Meguiar's G110v2 with the Soft Buff 2.0 pads.
OK, so that's a finessing pad. Would a finishing pad do the same thing?
My Soft Buff 2.0 pads will be 7 inches with the backing plate. Do those blue pads require a different backing plate?

EDIT: How is Menzerna Top Inspection? Will Meguiar's Final Inspection do the same job?
I have personally found Menzerna to be the polishes I like best and offer most. They are so darn easy to use, and provide great results. I too still feel the use of diminishing abrasives in a novice or hobbist session offers an extra degree of safety. Others will of course disagree.
But I would offer three suggestions that almost any detailer should find as perfect for them:
Menzerna SIP and Nano Polishes
Megs 105 and 205
Wolfgang 3.0 TSR and FG
Couple of notes. Megs uses diminishing abrasives but are pretty easy to use so included. Wolfgang offers the smallest sizes in 8 ounce and thus sometimes the best starting point for a new polisher. No wrong choice, but indeed some options.
Quick question. I'm getting ready to order some Menz polishes based on all the positive comments I've seen here. So far have only used the XMT series. I want to get the SIP and Nano for sure. Do I need the 85rd too or does the Nano do pretty much the same thing? One less step would be a good thing. TIA
Nano (106FA) does finish down quite well on its own and most would never need 085rd. Its really for the special times when you want to jewel/gem a surface. Infact SIP finishes down so nicely I suspect some can jump straight to 085rd and skip Nano. No wrong choice ...
