I was finally thinking of dipping into the MF pads from Megs. Has anyone used the finishing discs with with SIP and had good results?

Or would you guys suggest using regular foam pads with SIP and sticking to the D300 or whatever the code is for the finishing wax?

Yea, I'm thinking about buying just the pads for now and the D30X later, just for fun. I'd like to know as well!

it would be cool to try it out-i would assume you would run it the same speed as you would with the compound-i got some hyper polish that i am goin to try with those pads to

hyper polish doesn't seem like a bad idea either.

I have a bunch of things I want to try, but not enough time, money, or clients

Remember, these pads arent gonna finish well on re-paints no matter what liquid you use. If it's OEM paint, give Menz a shot!

I heard it's a gamble whether or not the mf pads finish down on repaints or not.

So is the MF pad similar in cut to say a LC white pad?

Was thinking about a MF finishing pad with 106fa

I tried PO85RD on the finishing pads to the OEM paint of a 2005 Nissan Altima after compounding with the cutting pads and D300. The finish turned out pretty good. Nice gloss and depth. Give it a shot! I think you will like it!

Just a thought on using the MF DA pads with other polishes...the Meg's polishes for these pads are SMAT...so my guess is they will work best with SMAT polishes, rather than the Menzerna DAT polishes. I'm thinking the new Optimum creams might work very well with these pads.
