Michael Schumacher in serious condition!

I was just watching Top Gear U.K where he was revealed as the Stig back few years ago, and then i remembered about his accident. It's so sad when you realize just how life can be :/

I think he was just the Stig for driving the FXX.

Well maybe he was, I mean he was retired during that time and could've been the Stig but then again someone of his stature and fortune has better things to do I'd think.

I was really hoping for a Richard Hammond like recovery. If you get a chance to read his book it is really quite interesting.

Every case is different, so he may very well pull through.

Yeah, that was a one episode special where Schumacher was the stig. You have to be authorized by Ferrari to drive that FXX and Michael was since he works for them.

The actual stig during that time was Ben Collins.

Not anymore though, and no word who is.
 
That Michael Schumacher episode was great and its the only time I've seen the brakes glow red on their test track. He seems like a very down to earth and humble guy for being such an icon and he said he drives a Fiat 500 Abarth too, LOL!

Yeah Richard wrecked driving that dragster, I remember watching the episode where he came back and Jeremy was very glad to have him back. I would never get into anything like that, no way, no how....NEVER!

You're correct. It was just for the FXX episode. The thing I remember the most from it was when he had those carbon ceramic brake disks glowing BRIGHT orange going into one of the turns (sorry forget which one). Ben Collins was the Stig during that time (he was white suit Stig for the entire run until he released the book, The Man in the White Suit, the BBC tried to block it, the courts struck that down, so they fired him since his identity was revealed.) On a side note, I purchased the book a year or so ago because it was like $2.00 for the ebook. Hopefully it has some behind the scenes juice on Top Gear.

That is so great to hear! I knew they were trying to wake him up slowly but I was starting to lose hope.
