I’m noticing micro fissures in my ceramic coating on the hood of my car. Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

It’s been around three months since I applied 2x CQuartz 3.0 1x Gliss post multi-stage correction and surface prep. I’ve also maintained the coating w/ CP Reload monthly since application.

I’ll try to get one when I get it cleaned up. It looks looks like flex or stress cracking in a few spots on the hood.

The coating is so thin I’d be surprised if it’s actually the coating.
If you’re certain it’s not an issue with the clear coat underneath, could it be just some marring or scratches that look like cracking?

The key word above is

hood

This,

The heat from the engine plus the heat from direct sun plus who knows why quality modern urethane paint cracks?

My guess is - what you're seeing is in the paint, not the coating. It would be very east to test this guess. Place a tape-line across a section where you see this cracking and then polish on only one side of the tape-line.

If the cracks you see remain then it's in the paint.

If the cracks you see disappear - then it was in the coating or it wasn't really cracks but some form of swirls and scratches.
