Do you feel the need to add more than 2 ounces for the detergent to be effective?

always found it to work well as directed. You can add white vinegar to the rinse as desired, but likely more about final softness and "could" break down towels a bit over time or so the garment industry suggests.

Normally I use 1oz along with about 1oz of tide liquid. Towels come out like new.
