Microfiber pads. First hand accounts needed

D300+MF disc will cut & finish alot better than M105 with a foam pad. Always follow any heavy compound with a finishing polish whether you want to do that with the finishing disc & D301 or a foam pad & M205. I personally DONT like M105.

The new M101 is the new big dog on the block. If your going to be working on European paints, consider the Menzerna line. It will take you longer to correct because they use DAT abbrasives, but the finish will be the same.

I thought you likee 105? Or are you talking just not with the MF pads? He!! I can't imagine trying to use 105 with them, holy crap Batman!

WOOF WOOF... let dat' big dog BITE! :D
Poor old bottle of 105 is gonna' dry up now. ;)

Menzerna polishes are great, just dont let the price fool you into thinking they are "that much" better than other brands. Meguiar's and Menzerna produce equally great results, they just use two different types of Abrasives to achieve the goal: high gloss swirl free finish.

Menzerna usually is the top choice for European paint systems. Some of the top detailers in the world use a combination of both Meguiar's & Menzerna. Just goes to show for all you kids who think Meg's is somehow a subpar brand ;)

Man.... it sounds like you been reading my mail. :dblthumb2:

ptff being poor and in college is only more reason to find ways to make money. I repair, modify, and customize xboxes and sometimes flip phones to fund my detailing addiction lol

Luckily, it's starting to (very slowly) pay for itself now as word starts to travel.

Wash and wax your buddies rides for $10 or whatever. Buy products in gallons. Anything that generates money and saves you money is a good thing :) As a college kid, I can say we have way too much time on our hands to do stupid stuff, might as well make a little money while we are at it :props:

Happy Detailing!

Haha, it's nice to meet a fellow tech geek! I actually do fix phones, xboxs, and PCs. I also do some other *cough* work as well. :D I've been trying to get my detailing business started, but have only had time to do family members cars. Still, college is a major investment, and after 2 years im still debt free. So just trying to keep that up!

As much cut as the normal cutting pads have, I can't imagine a situation where you'd want the X-tra cut pads, (other than some rock hard, maybe silver or white metallic paint system).

FWIW I just received my bottle of the new D302 MF polishing compound this week. Can't wait to try it out on something as soon as it warms up a bit. I have a Jag for next week but it's a new paint job (at least most of the car is) and the last thing it'll be needing is microfiber cutting pads. ;)
