First off, I want to thank Chet (hoyt66) for sending me this wax to review. It's been about two and a half months since he sent this wax to me. My apologies for taking so long to do this review.

Here's the link to the product:
Migliore Competizione Carnauba Wax, car wax, show car wax

Unfortunately, it seems like AG doesn't carry this anymore. I can only find this link through google.

And here's a picture of me holding the container:

The wax does come with a gold net shown in the AG website. Chet was thoughtful to include a yellow foam applicator. Thanks again! :)

On late January, I prep'd my car for this wax. First, I washed the car using the two bucket method with grit guard, using CarPro Wool Wash Mitt and Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Red. After washing and rinsing, I went straight to claying the car using Nanoskin Fine Grade Towel with Optimum No Rinse in clay lubricant dilution 1:64. I didn't take any photos as it seems pretty traditional to do a two bucket method here in AGO. I then dried the car using a large waffle weave.

After the car was dried, I did a one step correction using Menzerna SF4500 on both Rupes LHR15ES (5") and G110v2 (4") with a black pad. Here are the tools:

After polishing, I used CarPro eraser to ensure I get the paint as bare as possible.

Now, for the wax. I popped off the lid and it appears that the wax is orange. So, I smelled it. C'mon, its orange. Who wouldn't smell a wax that is orange. :dblthumb2: Surprisingly, it has a nice citrus smell to it. It smell like oranges.

I applied Competizione all over the car, starting with the hood and work my way around the car towards the passenger side. I did use the yellow foam applicator provided, but I found that it was grabby. So, I took out a red foam applicator and gave that a try. It was still a bit grabby, yet I found it easier to apply.

I purposely applied the passenger doors thicker and the rest of the car thinner for removal comparison. It definitely made a big difference in removal. If applied too thick, a quick detailer will make removal easier. Otherwise, expect to grow some muscles by the time you're done removing the wax!

This wax... WOW. Just wow. Let the pictures show you. All taken with my iPhone 5.

OK, so I wasn't able to get much pictures as it was cloudy. The sun came out towards the end of the day. I don't think my phone camera is able to capture the actual beauty this wax has made my car look.

I reapplied this wax about two weeks ago. Here are some photos:

Guitar Hero, anyone?

This wax is VERY glossy. It makes the metallics in my silver POP!

Chet said this to me, "This wax "liquefies" silver and makes metallic pop. Like I said in my original post, It's not my favorite to use but it's hands down my glossiest..."

Although it isn't as easy as WGDGPS to apply and remove, the look on my car definitely makes up for it. The durability is only 2-3 months on average, yet I would definitely go apply it again because the look of this wax on my car is amazing.

Again, thanks Chet for sharing this awesome wax with me!

Very cool! Great write up. Car looks awesome!! Thanks for the follow up:dblthumb2:

I gotta say, I have used Migliore a few times, the coating though. And man, it looks fantastic. Here is a Terrain I did last fall and man it looked good:

Wow, super glossy! Thanks for the review. I figured AG was unloading their supply since Migliore Competizione kept showing up on BOGO.

How would you say Migliore Competizione compares to Pinnacle Souverän?

NP! Thank you for being so generous!

Wow! Look at that reflectivity! I also see the metallics on the fender! Did you experience the metallics popping as well?

I have yet to apply Pinnacle Souverän to anything right now. So far, I've read that PS makes the paint looks wet, darkens the paint, and mutes the metallics. As soon as I apply PS on my car, I'll give you my thoughts! In addition, I should apply both MC and PS to a dark metallic vehicle and see the difference.

Here are some beading shots of the wax:

Also, this wax should not be applied to windshield. I notice that it refracted the street lamps during night time, which made it harder to see.

Especially on rainy days, this wax actually made water stick to it. I had a horrible time seeing the road, so I had to roll down the window and look over until I get home and remove the product off my windshield.

It may be the fact that there were still excess product, but I would not like to try that again :nomore:

Nice beading shots! Is that from the last time you applied the wax or is this a fresh coat?

Your car looks great. It would be difficult to improve on that shine. Good job!

This is from the last time I applied the wax, earlier this month. Turns out it must've been me not removing all the wax from the first time that gave me horrible beading. I ensured to wipe off any excess on the last coat, and it turned out great! The wax is very hydrophobic and washing was a breeze.

Thanks!
