Minivan interior by Northeast Detailing!

I don't pass on many jobs, ha. But, there was one time where somebody had blood in their vehicle. Quite a bit of it too...that, I won't do. I do not want blood in my extractor. Sorry! lol :nomore:

Eww... I thought bacon w/Gummi bears stuck to it, on the headliner was bad...

I don't buy the Mr. Clean ones, cause they're way too expensive for what I do with them. If you go on ebay, and type in magic sponges. You'll get a TON of different auctions popping up. I usually just buy the best deal that is there. I buy like 200-500 at a time.

Sometimes you can get really good deals on the ones that were defects. They still work fine, they just aren't the "perfect" size they wanted. :dblthumb2:

Thats a good idea - I have some magic erasers that are good for aircraft landing gear and interiors on buses, BUT - WARNING ..... I had one of my guys use it on his car without telling me and he came to me wondering why it jacked up his hood lol! Don't use on car exterior!!!

haha, no worries there. I would never use them for any exterior work. little too abrasive for that. That's what clay is for! :dblthumb2:

Good God man. That was filthy. Nice save

P.S. You should've handed your customer a bar of soap and told them to try and mix it into their daily routine

Actually, I use them selectively on the exterior - I use them on the muffler (if stainless steel) and tail pipe (if stainless steel or chrome plate).

Nice thread with lots of great tips and tricks! I like using the diaper for the leather conditioning! I have used them to clean, but never though to use them for conditioning (usually use a foam applicator or soft sponge).

So this Malco stuff, sounds like I may have to try it! :)

Well, I was referring more to the paint.

The carpets are spotless! I have a carpet shampooer that does not produce great results like that. Very nice work! I use the magic sponge for a lot of things :props:

Kris, I could kiss you right in the mouth right now, j/j. But seriously man, I had one of my worst experiences with leather just leave the garage. At first glance, it didn't look so bad and I assured the client I could have the interior clean and exterior washed/wax in less than 4 hours(definitely bit off more than I could chew).

Well, only 10 minutes into the detail I realized that non of my leather cleaners were putting a dent in the dirt. Dude, I tried lexol, auto magic's leather cleaner and even my apc with terrible results.

Suddenly I remembered, the Mr. Clean magic Eraser.
Put it like this, Ill NEVER use anything else.
Awesome results and very easy application.

Wish I had gotten more pics but when she said 4 hours she meant it. Just to add on, she was soo impressed, she tipped me $80 bucks. So, I guess when I see you, I owe you 20 bucks and a kiss, lol.
Thanks man.:dblthumb2:

The words "Minivan interior" put the biggest grin on my face when I read it. I knew it was going to be bad. Great work.

I came across stains in the wheel like that as well but I couldn't completely remove them. How did you do it?

I responded via PM. But nice man!! I'm glad it worked out for you. They will change the way you do interiors for sure. I don't have a single vehicle that comes through my shop without a magic sponge touching. Even on black leather that "appears clean" makes a big difference. Try them on all the trouble spots too. Steering wheel, shifter, arm rests, kick panels, everywhere! They rule! :xyxthumbs::xyxthumbs:

Magic sponge! Little bit of leather/plastic cleaner from Malco sprayed on to the sponge. Then just scrub and wipe. :dblthumb2:

Yep, thanks for the tip Kris. I just ordered 60 pieces for only 16 bucks with free shipping.

Nice! Everytime I order those from ebay...they seem to come from overseas. So don't be surprised if it takes a bit for shipping.
